The State of the Union Mr President is "Critical"

The State of the Union Address was nothing less than a oneand a half hour campaign speech filled with lies starting with the President referring to General Motors as the #1 car company.

Also, I hate to tell you this Mr President, but our countrywas founded on life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for individualsendowed with inalienable rights. There was not a single mention of the terms “fairness”or “teamwork” that you used ad nauseum. Of course we know those to be liberalcodewords for class warfare which justifies an agenda that relies completely on“redistribution of income”. Socialism has failed everywhere it has been triedsir, as it only leads to anarchy, followed by misery for all.

Furthermore, anyone that has listened to you carefully since youfirst appeared on the scene knows that you don’t believe in America’s greatness, sogiving a speech, copy and pasted fromprevious campaign speeches, but this time including “old American values” is a hoot. Oh yeah…

Praising the nation’s military two days before your Secretaryof Defense announces they are firing80,000 troops takes a lot of nerve also.

Normally a State of the Union Address highlights theadministrations accomplishments, but in your case there weren’t any, unless youconsider the stimulus bill and having our nations credit rating downgradedaccomplishments.

You also forgot to mention the ruination of the commercial fshing industry in New England at thehands of NOAA which your administration filled with Democrat operatives andenvironmental wackos, who were also very strong supporters of the MassachusettsCongressional delegation, despite their public statements to the contrary andgreat emotional arguments made by Barney Frank and John Kerry.

Another crowning achievement was your rejection of thekeystone pipeline that would have brought huge supplies of oil into thiscountry causing the price of oil at the pump to decrease. It also would havecreated 20,000 union jobs and thousand of other jobs indirectly.

The best thing you forgot to mention though, Mr President,was how you are single handedly destroying the greatesthealth care system in the world, which I’m convinced will prove to be the worstthing that has ever happened to us, providing the federal government withleverage over every aspect of our lives especially if we work for or ownbusinesses that don’t receive generous wavers in response to generous campaigndonations.

Many of my conservative friends believe you are simply in over your head, butas Rush Limbaugh has said many times, you know exactly what you’re doing andyou are not in the least bit inept. Your first three years have been verysuccessful in terms of how you have met your main goal of destroying this nations economy and knocking this nation down a few pegs for all the crimes against humanity your communist parents and Reverald Wright told you about as you were growing up. We also know your buddy Bill Ayers has given you invaluable advice along those lines as well, .

We also have learned recently that Sarah Palin was right about theDeath Panels, which were confirmed in a phone conversation that has gone vira lover the internet from a Neurosurgeon to radio talk show host , Mark Levin. Itseems that you weren’t kidding when you mentioned that the government will have the option to see that we take a pill when we face expensive life savingsurgery in our older years.

In fact I can't wait until I reach 70 years, at which time I will be referred to as unit instead of people with name, and the decisionabout whether we receive surgery or “comfort” care will be decided by pencilpushing bureaucrats. Making those kinds of decisions are so difficult Mr President, so I'd like to thank you personally for lifting that burden from me and putting it in the hands of a government bureacrat that knows squat about medicine.

In conclusion, if I could sum up the state of the Union in one word I would say its “critical” and we as a nation are in deep kimshee.

Pam's Story

A Christian friend forwarded this to me and I don't think any other words are necessary....

In a recent email, I read about a woman named Pam, who knows the pain of considering abortion. More than 24 years ago, she and her husband Bob were serving as missionaries to the Philippines and praying for a fifth child. Pam contracted amoebic dysentery, an infection of the intestine caused by a parasite found in contaminated food or drink. She went into a coma and was treated with strong antibiotics before they discovered she was pregnant.
Doctors urged her to abort the baby for her own safety and told her that the medicines had caused irreversible damage to her baby. She refused the abortion and cited her Christian faith as the reason for her hope that her son would be born without the devastating disabilities physicians predicted. Pam said the doctors didn't think of it as a life, they thought of it as a mass of fetal tissue.

While pregnant, Pam nearly lost their baby four times but refused to consider abortion. She recalled making a pledge to God with her husband: If you will give us a son, we’ll name him Timothy and we’ll make him a preacher.

Pam ultimately spent the last two months of her pregnancy in bed and eventually gave birth to a healthy baby boy August 14, 1987. Pam’s youngest son is indeed a preacher. He preaches in prisons, makes hospital visits, and serves with his father’s ministry in the Philippines . He also plays football. Pam’s son is Tim Tebow.

The University of Florida ’s star quarterback became the first sophomore in history to win college football’s highest award, the Heisman Trophy. His current role as quarterback of the Denver Broncos has provided an incredible platform for Christian witness. As a result, he is being called The Mile-High Messiah.

Tim’s notoriety and the family’s inspiring story have given Pam numerous opportunities to speak on behalf of women’s centers across the country. Pam Tebow believes that every little baby you save matters.

Is it "bullying" or "name calling"

An article in the New Bedford Standard Times entitled“Battling Back” discusses the subject of “bullying” which is a word I hear alot these days that has a different connotation than what I remember, growingup in an urban environment in the fairly tough Blue Collar city of New Bedford,MA

The focal point of the story is on a girl who has been selected to sit on Gov Deval Patrick's Statewide Youth Council which is focusing on the problem of bullying.

Back in the 1950’s and 1960’s bullying meant having yourlunch money stolen or your books knocked out of your hands in the hallways, notname calling. Sounding was a way of life i.e. calling kids by their mother’snames and making fun of them constantlyfor every reason under the sun. We didn’t get depressed or suicidal,however. In fact if I ever mentioned a "name calling " incident to my parents they would look at me with a grin and say: "Sticks and Stones can break my bones, but names can never hurt me".

After that I felt totally cured and forgot all about the matter for the rest of my life. Anyway if I can add two cents worth of common sense wisdom that the Governors Council is free to examine at absolutely no charge...

This generation is too soft and I blame liberalism ingeneral along with their parents and teachers for focusing on building a falsesense of self esteem on our kids rather than building self-confidence through hard work, tough challenges, andmaking sure they experience both success and failure, through various competitions including sports events where the score is kept and winners and losers are declared.

Furthermore they are not heldaccountable for their actions. Their parents drive them everywhere.

My generation which had it much easier than my parents generation walked everywhere most of the time or rode our bikes,and played outside as much as possible. Sometimes the interaction with other kidsled to fights and confrontations with real bullies, but we learned that whenyou stood up to bullies, they usually stopped hassling you.

Now I’m not talking about gang wars and reall acts of criminality, lets be clear. That isa problem I was totally unfamiliar with during my youth except in the movie,West Side Story. There were also no drugs in the schools or any sign ofweapons, so I admit that the things kids have to contend with today arecertainly much more severe and I suppose an argument could be made to justifyadults being more protective of their children than they were in my day. Today you have a relative epidemic of child molestation, so I agree there are other concerns.

But the stories I hear about bullying have to do withtaunting which can now be done through all the marvelous high tech devices“name callers” have at their disposal.

I just finished listening to my sports talk radio showdiscussing the hate mongers who text them constantly with some of the most viciousattacks imaginable, so there is no doubt our kids are being exposed to vicious verbal assaults. But still…so wasI. Are you kidding? And it wasn’t over a cell phone or computer, but face toface with a tough street kids.

Today girls play organized sports like basketball andbaseball, and some of them learn to defend themselves physically. I hatewatching these news stories on TV of these huge brawls that take place at a McDonalds where gangs of roughfoul mouthed girls go at it, while customers and employees do nothing out offear. In my day, girls had big brothers and fathers who protected them. Iknow…I know….what a concept!

I’ll discuss the feminization of American culture some othertime. Right now the topic is bullying. Speaking of feminization of theculture,however, another misuse of the term bullying has been wrongly applied to those whospeak out against homosexual activism, particularly in our schools andthroughout our culture.

I don’t support crude name calling aimed at those who haveserious problems and a habitual lifestyle that God considers sinful, accordingto the Bible. Once again God calls it sin, not sexual orientation and it is alifestyle that can be very destructive to our culture. Look what it has and isdoing to the institution of marriage which the traditional family is based on.

A very interesting article on societal develpements on homosexuality canbe found in a document entitled Declaration on the Torah Approach to Homosexuality, which is a public document signedby Rabbis, Community Leaders, and Mental Health Professionals. If you are a liberal or someone who is wrestling with the problem of homosexuality, I'd like to suggest that you not handle any sharp objects while you read this article because sometimes the truth can hurt and if you do start to become angry just take deep breaths and count to ten before continuing but more important than that remember...I was never here.

Wow...What a Game!

The first thing I said when my 96 year old father called meimmediately after the Patriots stunning victory over the Baltimore Ravens (23 –20) in the AFC championship game yesterday was Wow ! What a game!...“Wow! What a game” is right he responded and Isuspect that those 4 words are being echoed far and wide today among those whospent Sunday from 3:00 PM on glued to the tube.

It should be no surprise that it was a close game but no onethat knew anything about these teams before hand, would have predicted it wouldtranspire the way it did.

There is no question there were some strange things that happened in the game that have given rise to even stranger explanations and atributation to the late Myra Kraft, wife of Patriots owner Bob Kraft, who apparently has been on the minds of most of the players throughout the season and in his whose honor they would very much like to win a Superbowl championship. All the players hold Kraft,who played a key role in saving football this season just daysfollowing his “sweethearts” death, in high esteem and have been wearing "MHK"patches in his wife's honor on their uniforms.

One of my Facebook friends, whom I don’t know personally, wroteon my FB page that God had revealed to him he was going to cause the NewEngland Patriots to lose as just recompense for defeating well publicizedChristian Tim Tebow’s Denver Broncos in the preceding week. He even printed God’swords the way he believed he heard them and I responded by giving him the address of a freemental health clinic in his area.

As a long time fan of New England Sports who has witnessed adizzying array of unexplained and sometimes heartbreaking events that have been explained by supernatural intervention during important games played bythe Red Sox, Celtics, and now the Patriots starting with the curse of theBambino; Lepraucauns sitting on the rimsat Boston Garden when the Celtics were winning championships year after year; and now the recently deceased wife of the owner knocking a footbal heading for the uprights off to the left with only 11 seconds left in the game.

But there are many other strange thoughts dancing in my head thismorning beside Billy Cunfoff’s 32 yard failed fieldgoal attempt including : Raven’s receiver Lee Evans dropping a ball that landed right in hischest after getting touched by a little known Patriot defender names SterlingMoore; Tom Brady unable to complete a single touchdown pass on aday when his offensive line played great and gave him all the time in theworld to find an open receiver; New England’s defense saving a game for the celebrated Patriot's offense that was obviously sputtering, which is something all the pundits said could never happen with the 2011 Patriots.

There were many more unusual sightings and mystifying events that took place on and off the field at Gillette Stadium during a memorable game that began with StevenTyler, of Aerosmith screaching his way through the national anthem and even sitting in Myra Kraft’s seat in theowners box and ending with Tom Brady saying the last words we ever expected we’dhear from him following a miraculous Patriots victory: “ I sucked pretty bad today, butour defense saved us”.

Other unanswered questions include: Why didn’t Belechick throw the challenge flag whenGronkowski caught a pass that was out of bounds?. Millions on TV saw thathis feet were clearly in bounds and even CBS commentator Phil Sims missed it and: Why did a coach known for his aggressiveness have his team spike the ballwith 58 seconds left in the first half and barely holding a 3 point lead?;and finally: Why did they open the 2^nd half with an uncharacteristic longpass into double coverage that was turned over immediately after all that planning to start thesecond half with the ball?

In conclusion, I suppose there will be no end to MyraKraft inferences during the nexttwo weeks on talk radio and on the internet , butI’d prefer to think that the unexplained events and unusual decisions made duringyesterday's game had more to do with a game played by human beings and imperfect players and coaches on two very strong football teams playing their hearts out for the opportunity of a life time... a trip to the Super Bowl.

South Carolina Primary Brings Out "Newt The Streetfighter"

It was quite gratifying to see Newt Gingrich defeat MittRomney in such an emphatic manner yesterday in the South Carolina Primary.Conservatives all over the country are angry, there is no doubt.

They’re angry at Obama and the Democrats in Congress. By theway, this marks the 966^th day since Congress last passed a budget.They’re angry at the spineless Republican leadership in both houses ofCongress. They’re angry at the Republican establishment, who don’t want toupset the precious independents and Moderates everywhere. Mostly they’re angryat the MSM who have up until now been picking their candidates for themand eliminating the ones they fear the most like Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman,Rick Perry, and Herman Cain.

Although Rick Santorum is still hanging around, it was Newtthat tapped into that anger this week during two debates in which he hung mediaelites, Juan Williams of Fox News and John King of CNN out to dry. It wasobvious to me that even the Conservative Beltway media pundits who have openlydisplayed disdain toward tea party and grassroots conservatives throughout thecampaign were disturbed last night as much as Romney was.

Karl Rove actually appeared desperate as he nervously ranthe numbers for us on his little white slate in an attempt to convince us Newthasn’t won the nomination yet.

Well, hardy ha ha Karl, I think we all know that, but can’tyou just let us enjoy the moment for a bit..

I actually was surprised that Newt didn’t appear in a morecelebratory mood during his victory speech, but then again that might onlydemonstrate his understanding of theseriousness of the challenge facing him.

Romney spent millions, or at least the super pacs did in a scorchedearth media blitz aimed at taking Newt out of the race in Iowa,and the policy continued right up until Saturday, but the majority ofconservatives in the South Carolinaprimary would have none of it.

The negative attacks plus the media’s use of an angry exwife only exasperated their anger. I actually think listening to Mary Ann dumpon Newt for his desire to have an open marriage just illustrated the hypocrisy of the MSM, who found nothing wrong with Billand Hillary’s long established open marriage. Once again the anger keep’sgrowing among “the folks” as Bill O’Reilly might say, so keep it going Newt.Keep fighting back.

Romney has been weakened considerably by the results in SCand it feels like a revolt took place against the Republican Establishment andthe MSM, doesn’t it? So we’ll just have to see, how Newt plays in Florida and throughoutthe South, but right now I think Conservatives every where want a streetfighter to take President Obama on during the coming Presidential debates andexpose him as the radical they all believe he is.

No one can envision Mitt Romney doing that. That is not theway Mitt works. My impression of Romney has always been someone who lurksaround in the background letting his money and surogates go to war against any conservative that has the audacity to runagainst one of his hand picked moderate Republicans. Politicians who callthemselves conservatives and then do everything they can to disparage goodconservative people running for office can’t be trusted any father than you canthrow them. But that is all I’ll say about that for now…

When Mitt does say the things Conservatives and their leaderRush Limbaugh do want him to say, itnever seems sincere to them. If Newt can keep “half of his brain tied behindhis head" as Rush often says and focus on channeling that anger found in theaudiences of conservative talk radio hosts then I think he can win thenomination. As Rush has always understood, most of the country is conservative,they just don’t know it, and conservatives are crying out for a Republicanpolitician who can articulate what they have always felt, whether they realize it or not..

When Newt spoke to his supporters last night, he said “I’mnot a good debator. I just articulate your words.” That statement aloneindicates to me Newt does understand what conservatives want him to do, so we'll just have to see if he can continue what he started this week in South Carolina.

Gingrich Scores Big With Conservatives Following South Carolina Debate

Based upon an unscientific appraisal of the reaction amongmany of my conservative friends on Facebook of Newt Gingrich’s performance inthe South Caroline GOP Presidential Primary debate Monday night, I would saythat Gingrich gained ground on those candidates vying for the non Romney vote.Candidates who receive rare standing ovations in debates, as Gingrich didMonday evening must be considered to be heading in the right direction with 4days to go before the South Carolina Primary.

Apparently the former Speaker of the House does also and sodoes Sarah Palin who endorsed him this morning, sort of, but only in South Carolina’s primary, to keep theRepublican nomination race going. “If I had to vote in South Carolina, in order to keep this thinggoing, I’d vote for Newt and I would want this to continue, Palin opined.

Rush Limbaugh observed that Gingrich showed he was a trueconservative during his nationallybroadcast radio show on Tuesday and included sound bites of the moment in whichNewt received a standing ovation during his monologue, which Rush stated he hadnever seen before in a Presidential debate.

The dramatic moment occurred after Juan Williams of Fox Newsasked racially tinted questions to Gingrich. Limbaugh applauded Gingrich forrefusing to take the bait and answering in a racial context. “He answeredwithin the context, that we’re all people and that we, as conservatives wantthe best for everybody”

Williams began his line of questioning by reminding Gingrichhe had stated recently that black Americans should demand jobs,not food stamps. He then went on to say “You also said that poor kids lack astrong work ethic and proposed having them work as janitors in their school.Can’t you see that this is viewed at a minimum as insulting to all Americans,but particularly to black Americans, Williams asked in a condescending tone.That question not only infuriated me but I think it infuriated Conservatives all overthe country, according to my facebook friends and particularly in that audiencein South Carolinawhere boos could be heard throughout the confrontation.

“No I don’t see that”, Newt calmly replied as if the question was very predictable, “New York City pays theirjanitors an absurd amount of money because of the union. You could take onejanitor and have 30-some kids to work in the school for the price of onejanitor, and those kids would be a lot less likely to drop out. They wouldactually have money in their pocket. They’d learn to show up for work. Theycould do light janitorial duty. They could work in the cafeteria. They couldwork in the front office. They could work in the library. They’d be gettingmoney, which is a good thing if you’re poor. Only the elites despise earningmoney.

The crowning moment occurred after Newt went for thejugular by stating: “I believe every American of every background has beenendowed by their creator with the right to pursue happiness, and if that makesliberals unhappy. I’m gonna continue to find ways to help poor people learn howto get a job, learn how to get a better job, and learn someday to own the job” As Gingrich described the moment on "Fox and Friends" he said from where he was standing he saw row after row get up in a cascading view starting from the back of the auditorium and moving towards the front while the entire room shook with thunderous applause

As I contemplated this thrilling moment all day yesterday, I thought it struck a poignant tone in theminds of conservatives like myself because we’re tired of liberals implying we’reracists simply because we believe big government entitlement style policies arenot healthy for anybody, not just African Americans. And it was particularly refreshing and encouraging to see a candidate for President of the United States with the intelligence, courage, and the ability to actually articulate those thoughts on the national stage.

As a rabid New England Patriots fan and a born againChristian who appreciates the positive affect Tim Tebow has been having onAmerican pop culture, I look at the end of Tebow-mania, at least temporarily,with mixed emotions. With Christianity losing the influence it once had onAmerican society due in large part to the failure of Christians themselves to lead a lifestyle that displays to the world a fruit bearing life as Tebow does on a daily basis.

This young man, who was blessed with missionary parentsand great athletic ability, broke onto the national scene this year thanks to a game he plays very well and fearlessly brought attentionto the values that once were part of the fabric of this country. Now that Tebow and the Denver Broncos have been senthome until the next training camp, most people will forget about him and thecuriosity they were beginning to develop about God, Jesus Christ, andChristianity in general, but not everyone. The seed has been planted in manyminds and hearts and God will use that to bring them into fellowship with Himat the right time, I have no doubt..

In some ways I wish I wasn’t a New England Patriots fan this morning because I feel somewhat guiltythat Tom Brady and the Patriots had a role in bringing Tebow-mania to an end.As a Christian I am reminded, however, that all children of God can serve God in any career they find themselves in, and from what I can tell, no one has been doing that better than Tim Tebow lately, and for that I'm very thankful.

Why do GOP presidential candidates have to debate Democratic political operatives like George Stephanopoulos?

I was stunned when I broke away from the football game Saturday night to see ABC News moderator George Stephanopoulos going back and forth in a heated exchange with Mitt Romney, as though Stephanopoulos was one of the candidates on the platform himself. His role was supposed to ensure all candidates were treated fairly and that the debate didn't get bogged down in an endless morass of crapola. Instead it seemed he had reverted to his former career as a "crapola in chief" for a Democrat political campaign before he supposedly departed politics for the world of even handed journalism for ABC news whose motto apparently is ..."We report...we decide"

According to the Daily Caller in an article entitled Stephanopoulos struggles with fairnessduring NH debate, ABC News commentator George Stephanopoulos directedpointed hard-edged questions to Republican presidential candidates duringSaturday night’s New Hampshiredebate, often attacking without providing evidences to justify his broadsides.When questioning Romney, Stephanopoulis premised some inquiries on theassertion ---offered without supporting facts ----that Romney’s job-creationstatistics were inaccurate.

“Now, there have been questions about that calculation of100,000 jobs. So if you could explain it a little more” Stephanopoulis askedRomney of the former governors claims about jobs created by companies he hashelmed. "I’ve read some analysts who look at it and say you’re counting the jobsthat were taken away. Is that accurate?"

“No, it’s not accurate”, Romney bluntly responded. “Itincludes the net of both. I’m a good enough numbers guy to make sure I get bothsides of that.”

Stephanopoulos didnot cite any analysts by name.

Now maybeit’s my imagination, but it seems to me that line of questioning isinappropriate coming from a debate moderator. I thought they were suppose to debate each other.

And furthermore why do the Republicans continually allow their debates to be hosted by hostile political foes at ABC, CNN, CNBC, or worst of all MSNBC which might as well be called the OBama network Do you think the Democrats would ever allow one of their debates to be hosted by Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, or Haley Barbour? Of course not. So why do Republicans allow their debates to be hosted by hard core Democrat operatives like Stephanopolis who was the chief spinmaster during the Clinton campaigns?

These people like Stephanopolis and Chris Mathews go back and forth from Democrat political stongholds to journalism and no one ever questions their credibility or qualifications for doing so.

And furthermore what would be wrong in having a Republican debate especially in a primary contest being moderated by an established Republican operative or commentator? Why do we have to play by their rules all the time? These are all good questions, don't you think? And of course we all know the answer. There is no news media anymore, accept for Fox News and Conservative Talk Radio. These so called journalists for the mainstream media are completely in the bag for Obama and in my opinion it's a national disgrace.

This has been an unbelievable GOP Primary campaign so far,and I’m sure before the day is over in Iowathere will be more to chew on. I, like most conservatives I know started thecampaign out feeling quite optimistic about our field of genuine conservativecandidates and then the media and the Republican establishment with the help ofthe Beltway Conservative elites no-less, started picking them off one by one.

In fact you could always tell which candidate had moved ahead inthe polls by watching which one started receiving the most hostility by theliberal media, followed by the other candidates themselves. Although I enjoyedthe debates immensely, I don’t believe the candidates ever really understoodthe opportunity they had to communicate to the public the seriousness of thiselection and how the country has reached a crossroads that it may never return fromif Obama is elected to a second term.

I get the impression that most liberal democrats don’tbelieve the country is in a state of crisis. And why should they when the only news they get is liberal propaganda communicated by political operatives. (In case you haven't noticed there aren't any news outlets anymore outside of Fox News and conservative talk radio).

If they do seeit as such, they’re inclined to blame the Tea Party Congress or even George W Bush for the morasswe’re in, which is idiotic to say the least. If the Republicans are fortunateenough to win back the Senate and retaincontrol of the House, a change in leadership in both houses will be absolutelynecessary to save us from plunging into the abyss, or at least holding off a cataclysmic collapse a while longer.

Strong Congressional Tea Party leadership of both houses will be needed to oppose Obama if he is still thePresident in a worst case scenario. Or if Romney is able to avoid the same fate most Republican moderates experience at any level i.e. defeat, they will need to keep the pressure on him to repeal Obama Care and do something about Illegal Immigration that will prevent America from resembling the California electorate and the Republican Party from ever winning another election again.

As we begin this New Year and anxiously await the results ofthe confab in Iowa,I'm thinking of my conservative brothers and sisters who began the campaign with suchoptimism. If you listen hard you can hear the year in review put to the steadypulse of the old High School Football cheer everyone heard at pep rallys duringtheir formative years and will continue to get louder and louder throughout the year..

Follow-up to "The Ant and the Grasshopper"

Today’s post is a follow-up to yesterdays write up on the“Ant and the Grasshopper”analogy” which I received in an email from a fellow politicalactivist friend of mine with the caveat of forwarding it to “ants” only as“grasshoppers never can understand it.”, he wrote. I found that to be true throughout the day yesterday, therefore I will try to explain this for all my grasshopper friends or those who sympathize with grasshoppers. If you haven't read my previous post then you should read that first.

The first example writtenin the form of a Biblical parable compares those who work with those who don’tor rather won’t.. Enough said!

The second example, of course, brings the unending saga intomodern times and includes those who play the victimization card as well asthose who encourage such behavior for the sole purpose of advancing their ownagendas. Most Conservatives I know get this illustration immediately understanding it is anentertaining over simplification, perhaps that would probably not stand up in amore sophisticated discussion of Kenesian Economics and the growth of the government sector(more grasshoppers) vs Free Market Economics and the growth of the Privatesector(more ants).

Furthermore, the exploitation of problems by liberal specialinterest groups is always about their access to power and never about theproblem itself. Their involvement in most cases further exacerbates the problemand in the end predictably destroys the very people they were trying to help byenslaving them to an entitlement and victimization mentality that only stripsthem of their dignity and work ethic. This behavior can lead to the destructionof a family, community, and even a country, which has occurred over and overthroughout history.

Yet the liberalestablishment in this country continues to insist on implementing biggovernment solutions to problems like Nationalized Health Care which presentlythreatens to change this country like nothing that has ever happened before.Our whole life will be controlled by the leverage the government has over usand the ability of bureaucrats to withhold our access to life saving medicalprocedures, unless we adhere to the demand of unelected bureaucrats regardingthe products we purchase, places we live and families we raise. Don’t believeme? Allow Obama to win a second term if you dare to cast your vote for him..

So get those pacemakers and expensive surgeries done nowwhile you can before Obama and his Czars bring this country closer to its dayof destruction even though the liberal constituency they represent is actually avery small segment of the entire population. It just seems larger because of the inclusion of thevery powerful liberal mainstream media, which most liberals I know won’t evenacknowledge the very existence of and get all worked up when a single cablenews network emerges that attempts to report the truth, or a larger than lifevoice appears behind enemy lines on AM talk radio encouraging the "ant"population to persevere because the truth is on their side. The alternativethat is being advanced down our throats, big government socialism simply won’twork, because it hasn’t worked anywhere it has been tried. Hence I give you…..(drum roll please) North Korea, wheremillions have starved to death and the government had to photoshop an official photoof the funeral procession yesterday of Kim Jung Il simply to present theprecise and sanitized image they wanted the world to see of their country whichis other wise a totally dysfunctional mess. It was also noted by journalists whoattended the State Funeral that no tears were seen despite some very loudwailing from organized groups of “mourners”, who were watched very carefully bytheir handlers..

The ant is fined for failing tohire a proportionate number
of green bugs and,
having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated bytheGovernment GreenCzar
and given to the grasshopper.

The story ends as we see the grasshopper
and his free-loading friends finishing up the last bits of the ant's food while the government house he is in, which, as you recall, just happens to be the ant's old house,
crumbles around them because the grasshopper doesn't maintain it.

The ant has disappeared in the snow, never to be seen again.

The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident, and the house, now abandoned,is taken
over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the ramshackle, once prosperous and peaceful, neighborhood.

The entire Nation collapses

The real Obama revealed in his Osawatomie Speech

I studied this speech all night and it’s incredible to think the words came from an American President because it could have been given by Lenin . Marx, Mao, or Castro with the insertion of a couple of substitute words like proletariat and bourgeoisie. Read the whole speech by clicking on the link at the end of this post, and notice the incredible number of lies like when explaining the Bush tax cuts, the banking crisis, and the implication that college students won't have to pay for their education. (I guess that means their professors won't be getting paid their sky rocketing salaries anymore). The part that jumped out and scared the crap out of me though is the following excerpt: “Our rugged individualism and our healthy skepticism of too much government doesn’t work. It has never worked”. (Really?)

In a way I’m glad he gave this speech before it’s too late because now he is out in the open and even even the most inattentive dull brained observer of this guy now knows what he meant when he spoke of change…whether it be socialism, Marxism, or communism, it’s all the same…tyranny and it’s always followed by the cracking of heads and the transition to a prison state with the masses living in extreme poverty and misery, except for the chosen few like Obama and his girls. I'm sure Michelle will still be able to go on her high "falluten" vacations and shopping sprees

About the So Called News Media

I was browsing through various news services in search for something I could install on my blog that would include news stories reported in an unbiased way, when I realized it was almost an impossible task. Even the stories that are factually correct are selected for a reason that coincides with their liberal-big-government-anti republican-pro democrat agenda. When I typed in the Boston Herald on my news roll gadget on my blog, for example, I got the Herald's articles as submitted, but when I typed in Drudge Report, Rush Limbaugh, Fox News ie fair and balanced or conservative sources, I ended up with very vicious critical articles about those sources, not the articles from those sources itself. And I thought...what is that all about? Can't you just let me read the article that Drudge selected for his website? It doesn't require a subscription. Which leads me to believe that...

Most Americans are under the impression that the journalists that work for NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC or any newspaper in the country with the exception of the Washington Times or the Wall Street Journal are reporting the news, but they're not. They are operatives for the Democrat Party selecting stories and reporting in such a way that helps Democrats and Liberals, and hurts Republicans and Conservatives and that is a fact, whether they know it or not. And the truth is most do not know that, which is why they laugh at the mere sugestion that is going on.

The people in the media are part of the liberal political class which began years ago for each of them, probably in k-12 or at least College unless they were fortunate to begin thinking on their own after moving away from the Democrat conclaves where they may have grown up. In addition today we have a growing segment of the population that were Rush babies listening to Mom and Dad's favorite radio show every day, and therefore became exposed to the truth very early on. And these conservative sources are very truthful for the most part, though at times they go over board from an emotional perspective, but that is usually when they jump all over the mainstream media for their out of balance reporting and commentary. Unlike the liberal media, conservative media hosts admit from the outset that they are conservative, which is what I mean by being honest.

The mainstream or as Rush calls it State-controlled media is so biased now, they refuse to discuss the possibility of liberal bias as it appears silly to them. The reason they feel this way is because their liberal spin is not an act of conspiracy, it's genuinely who they are., which is a much more serious problem than simply reporting the news in a way that favors Democrats. But having said that I must add that they are all skilled communicators and I don't doubt their sincerity in the slightest which opens up the possibility of mental and psycotic behavior. Considering the fact that most all liberals are long-time, avowed aetheists, I think that is something that should be considered. Far right conservative commentator, Michael Savage has been saying for years that liberals are suffering from a mental disease. And though I haven't istened to Mr Savage in years, I always thought he might be on to something.

Also those of us who get our news from the new media may not realize how much more informed we are. I am no longer intimidated by liberals who seek to argue with me because I have learned they are clueless. They have no idea what they are talking about because they are too proud and brainwashed to ever listen to Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Sean Hannity, or countless other conservative analysts because they actually consider it lies I discovered. One of my diehard liberal friends was forced to withdraw from an argument he started, because he said he didn't trust my sources, which is another way of attacking the messenger when you can't win the argument. The truth is I think he was shocked at how informed I really was.

In 1996 Annenberg School of Journalism, University of Pennsylvania a liberal journalism school, completed a thorough study of Rush Limbaugh's audience and discovered to their surprise that his audience was the most informed of any segment of society, so I've been aware of this for a long time.

I love the idea of Conservatives making fun of liberals. For years it was the opposite. Do you remember a show called That was the week that was!. How about Laugh-in, The Smothers Brothers Show, and of course the Mount Everest of all political satire TV Saturday Night Live. Now we have Jon Stewart, David Letterman, Jay Leno and couple of other guys whose names escape me because I've never learned who they were. Most of the time these liberals come across as mean, nasty and hardly funny, as far as I'm concerned. And I'm not even going to discuss the beastly Michael Moore, who has redefined the word treason, which is a subject I intend to write about sometime.

You know what was really funny though? Remember the time Jane Fonda joked with the North Vietnames and clowned around with guns that were still being used to kill Americans while the war was still raging and many former POW's including Admiral Stockdale later wrote that there were indications about that time that the North Vietnamese were ready to give up as their artilery guns were all burned out and the POWS were starting to get better treatment and medical attention in preparation for war trials. And then Hanoi Jane arrived kicking the anti-war movement in the states into high gear, which gave great encouragement to the enemy, by the way. But still, the memory of Jane on those guns kidding around and flirting with the North Vietnamese soldiers really brings a chuckle to my face. (ha ha ha ha) Man was that funny! Anyway...

Rush Limbaugh has been combining political news commentary with tongue & cheek humor for years at the expense of liberals. But the thing about Rush's humor and the reason it is so popular among his 20 million + Conservative audience is that there is always an element of truth to it, which has always been one of the characteristics of effective comedy. The musical satire played on breaks for those who listen to his show as I do everyday online is worth the price for membership in the Rush 24/7 club alone. Listening to musician Paul Shanklin imitate Barney Frank singing the Banking Queen is a scream. And you haven't heard satire until you've heard his imitation of Barney Frank, Bill Clinton, and Ted Kennedy singing background vocals while Barack Obama performs lead vocals on a satiric renditions of a Shanklin produced pop song. Now that's funny!

Recently one of my liberal friends on FaceBook ran a you tube video of convicted rapist Mike Tyson doing an impersonation of Herman Cane about the time a couple of women came forward with questionable sexual harassment claims, making me suspicious of the timing and the real message the producers of the video were trying to get across. I mean, Tyson, who is hardly known for being a comedian, unless you consider the time he bit Buster Douglas's ear off funny, actually did a surprisingly good impersonation of Herman Cain, but surely the creators could have found someone else who wasn't a real live sexual predator to do it. Were they trying to get a subliminal message across? Well, that was the first thing I thought about and when I didn't find it funny, my friend accused me of not having a sense of humor.

He also explained to me one time in a real heart to heart way that Obama deserves respect because he is the President. Oh really? It's interesting however that he and his friends didn't apply that same reasoning when George W Bush was president. And what about the way they treated Dick Cheney, Don Rumsfield, and Karl Rove. How many "Bush is so dumb jokes" can you take? Where is the element of truth when you're talking about someone who has an MBA from Harvard, as though he is dumb. Granted, I'm sure it helped to have his father's name when he applied for admission after a less than stellar career while sewing his oats at Yale, but he was on his own once he arrived at Harvard and began the grueling program of studies, which many are unable to complete. But Bush actually graduated which is a lot more than what Al Gore was able to accomplish. And furthermore those in his inner circle knew him to be a voracious reader even while dealing with his day to day presidential responsibilities, something never mentioned by the White House Press Corps as it ran against the image they had molded for him of not being very smart.

Now I'm not saying that all jokes told by liberal comedians aren't funny, because much of it is and most conservatives I know can laugh when they make fun of Sarah Palan as much as they do at Obama and Anthony Weiner jokes, but more times than not lately they cross the line into an area that is not funny.

Is Bob Maginn "The One"?

Bob Maginn is the new chairman of the Massachusetts Republican Party today after receiving a vote of 51-21 with one abstention from the 73 members in attendance last night at a hotel in Newton, MA. So when I woke up today, the first question that crossed my mind was is Bob Maginn "The One" that is finally going to lead the Republican Party of Massachusetts out of the wilderness we've been wandering through for decades like the ancient Jews of Israel?

I hope so but according to my sources a lot of greasing of the skids took place before Bob was able to grab the gavel and prepare to lead his people forward into the promised land, unlike Moses who was never allowed to because of his unbelief. But that was the Bible, where integrity and righteousness matter, not the MA GOP. Apparently State Committee members were invited to two receptions including one last night before the meeting where they were wined and offered bribes in the form of their own Web Page with support provided by Bob's staff.

What a guy! If I hadn't seen the invitation myself I wouldn't have believed it nor would I have known about the 5 regional dinners he hosted for members at no cost for either food nor drinks. Wow! What a deal? Maybe I should think about running for State Committee someday with those kind of perks added to the job? Just to show you I'm not making this up, here is a copy of the invitation.

Congratulations Bob you did it. Now what? Where do we go from here Oh great leader? From what I heard most of the State Committee member dinosaurs who began their political careers back in the 70's wouldn't know a web page if it smacked them in the face and knocked the cocktail they were holding last night all over their unbuttoned size xxxx jacket. In fact at a recent meeting, a younger computer literate activist requested that they add committee member contact information to the MA GOP web site, you know, just in case someone in the area wanted to get in touch with them about, say when the next meeting is.

The request ran into a lot of resistance from the old guard, I understand for fear that such an addition might blow their cover as a "secret GOP agent" I guess,and we wonder why the Republican Party hasn't been growing. Well Bob your announced strategy for expansion of the party ranks using technology is intriguing but did you explain to them that they need to own a computer in order to get the most out it?

Okay, I may have gone too far with the sarcasm, after all a good many of them do manage to find their way to the Red Mass Group Blog every day, one of the RINO's favorite hang-outs where they obviate with old friends and like minded rascals, waiting to gang up on any Conservative, especially a social conservative or Tea Party activist who dares to enter their world and say something nice about a conservative candidate or prospect or even worse than that something nice about Ronald Reagan or Rush Limbaugh.

Also, I hope you enclosed a free copy of The Internet for Dummies Bob to go along with their copy of Selecting and Developing Good Political Candidates for Dummies, which apparently most of the old guard haven't got around to reading yet.

According to reports a large gathering of supporters of your opponent, Frank McNamara gathered to cheer him on last night full of optimism for the promise that lay ahead. Unfortunately they weren't allowed to vote and the old "politics as usual crowd", won the day, which I know must be disheartening for those who dream of a day when "one party rule" will no longer be the norm in Massachusetts and we can celebrate like Republicans nationwide did when the GOP won a landslide victory nationally in the 2010 Congressional elections instead of reaching for real-estate pamphlets from other states as soon as we arrive home every election night after another disappointing loss

In fact a very disappointed member of a Massachusetts Republican Town Committee, who we will call Mary feared the inevitable would occur last night so she wrote her Chairman yesterday chastising Maginn for giving $2400 to Senator Chuck Schumer of NY stating that "he is one of the most loathed Senators by all who love freedom and liberty." She also accused Maginn of out right bribery of state committee members and closed the letter by stating " he should be ashamed for bragging about his wining and dining efforts to recruit supporters." "Crony politics is dirty politics", Mary declared and concluded the letter by stating "This is the kind of thing that is frowned upon and gives the Republican Party a bad image."

And with that I would like to just add that I have no idea if Frank McNamara would have made a better Chairman. Who knows? Maybe Bob Maginn will turn out to be "The One" we've been waiting for i.e. "The One" who will lead the MA GOP out of the political wilderness and present the voters of the State of Massachusetts with a viable 2nd option for candidates on election day by intelligently developing candidates at the grassroots level who can return the GOP to being the party of exciting ideas for the first time in years, rather than the party of personal attacks, without compromising integrity, spending money foolishly on high profile and questionable races, and greasing the skids of the good ole boy network along the way, but I haven't seen anything to suggest that will happen yet.

The following is an interview with Frank McNamara on the Jeff Katz radio show today. Frank is running for Chairman of the Mass GOP and has the full support of Conservatives and the Tea Party throughout MA for his willingness to fight to get the GOP back to being a viable political party in this state of one party rule for many decades. I don't know his opponent Bob Maginn, but I'm disturbed by the fact he is receiving support from the MA Republican establishment, which is always a bad sign. If the RINO's that run the MA GOP like someone, it's always better to vote for the other guy in my opinion.(LOL) Frank and Jeff Katz discuss the $2400 contribution donated to radical socialist Senator Chuck Schumer from NY. Are you kidding me? And this is the person who wants to run the MA GOP? Also it has been reported, though not discussed in the above interview, that Maginn's wife has consulted with the OWS movement. Down Memory Lane with Barney Frank

On a day when liberals nationwide and democrat constituents back home are lamenting Barney Frank's decision not to run again, I think it's time for a reality-check. Considering the amount of historical revision that Frank has been engaged in for some time, this simple but clever animation brings Frank's role in the financial crash of 2008 back into focus. People forget that the Democrats regained control of the Congress in 2006 and Frank took over as chairman of the House Financial Services Committee with all the power that entails.

We've seen video after video that shows him encouraging the policies of unbridled lending practices that had gone in to overdrive during the Clinton Administration. The evidence shows that President Bush and Republicans in Congress tried to get more regulation implemented but were discouraged from doing so by Democrats like Frank, Maxine Waters, Charlie Rangel, and Chris Dodd.

This video is a great reminder of what really happened, lest we forget with the insane outpouring of praise being heaped upon him today. Don't ever forget that Barney was the driving force behind the financial crash of 2008: He just kept driving while ignoring the housing bubble. I love the music also. Very effective. Perry's New Hampshire Speech Illustrates Clash of Cultures on You Tube

The commotion over the You Tube video, seen below, of Rick Perry’s speech in New Hampshire Friday night, which has gone viral on the internet, is an illustration of the type of cultural clash commonly found during Republican Primary campaigns during the present Red State vs Blue State era that divides the country in many ways. Here you had a born again, cheerful, passionate, sincere sounding Christian from Texas and an Internet audience of cynical bigoted, well educated mush-for-brains graduates of our finest universities, I suspect who are also probably liberal in political orientation. The later does not include the audience he was actually speaking to of just plain folks in the “Live Free or Die” state of New Hampshire. No...they loved him and in fact laughed along with him at his attempts at humorous innuendos, which I admit did appear somewhat goofy if you watched them on the short edited video of gestures and expressions instead of the full speech, with everything presented in context for emphasis as well as entertainment value. I mean...he seemed relaxed to me and having a good time, nothing more.

As someone who grew up in a blue collar Northeast Democrat family in the 1950’s before departing for college in the 1960’s, but became a born again Christian while serving as a US Navy Musician, I share the former Air Force Major's patriotic values as well as his Christian beliefs

Watching Perry’s cheerful, passionate style of speaking which reminded me of the preaching I have heard in Baptist or Holy Ghost Preaching churches both on TV and in person, my sense was that he was really "prayed up" and in the spirit, as they say down South. In fact he even mentioned at the outset of his presentation the characteristics of a "merry" heart as mentioned in the Book of Proverbs, while referring to his Christian host in New Hampshire, which I might add could describe his own demeanor throughout his joyful presentation. And I'm talking about the type of genuine inner joy that is one of the "fruits of the spirit" discussed in the Bible, not the contrived type of merriment that is induced by alcohol or drugs throughout the secular culture.

While stationed in New Orleans in the early 80’s I attended a large 3000 member Southern Baptist Church in New Orleans LA for three years where most of the members were from the surrounding states of Texas, Arkansas, and Mississippi. So I became quite familiar with the friendly, outgoing, big slap-on-the-back and come-into-my-house-for-a-glass-of-ice-tea Southern personality that Rick Perry displays very naturally so I wasn't taken aback by his speech in any way. In fact I found his style and approach refreshing and quite moving at times and very substantive as well on issues most conservative Christians, like myself, are concerned with such as the economy, "right to life", and freedom from the over-reaching and controlling government that currently exists in Washington.

On the other hand I am not surprised at the cynical reaction seen in the commentary section at the You Tube web site from people with a very secular world view who assumed he was drunk, high, and above all a “simple minded moron” of course, like all Conservative flag waving Americans are in their view

In fact most of the cynics who have been ripping Perry apart the last few days since his so called “drunken” performance are more than likely products of America’s godless educational system oozing with bigotry at the Texan with the big grin and probably wouldn’t think of voting for a Republican…any Republican in the first place, especially one from the South, so take their comments with a grain of salt and treat him fairly, as his economic plan seems to be quite good, and worthy of further consideration if you ask me.

The voters of Texas are apparently satisfied with the leadership provided to their state from their popular Governor after re-electing him to a third term, which made him the longest serving governor in Texas state history. And the audience he spoke to Friday evening seemed satisfied as well. They gave him a standing ovation, did they not?

So what's your problem "You Tubers"? Lighten up will ya!

Obama to Iraq: "Sorry you're on your own now - I'm up for re - election next year"

The decision to withdraw troops from Iraq before reaching an agreement with Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki on extending the stay of troops as well as the construction of permanent bases smacks of election year politics rather than acting out of concern for the security of Iraq’s fledgling democracy that so many Americans gave their lives for, like it or not.

With predictable support from their allies in the mainstream media the Obama administration seems to be putting the blame on the Bush administration by citing the general timeline of the end of 2011 as if it were carved in stone and of course pointing out Obama’s campaign promise to end the war. Naturally that promise could never be broken as he is a man of his word who does not break his promises except for the closing of the terrorist detention center in Gitmo; the reduction of troops in Afghanistan; and the end of the Bush tax cuts earlier this year which are still in effect.

In light of those broken promises which has clearly angered those on the left it would be naive to assume that this latest decision was made in the best interests of Iraq’s security in spite of concerns that the Iraqi police force which the U.S has been training is said not to be ready yet, much to the delight of Iran which seems to be ecstatic at the mere mention of the coming deadline.

In an interview released Saturday, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tehran has “a very good relationship with Iraq’s government and said the relationship will continue to grow. “ We have deepened our ties day be day”, Ahmadinejad said in the interview broadcast Saturday on CNN.

The AP reported “Washington has long worried that meddling by Iran , a Shiite Muslim theocracy, could inflame tensions between Iraq’s Shiite-led government and its minority Sunnis, setting off a chain reaction of violence and disputes across the Mideast”

Great!. Now our good friend Israel has something else to worry about, as if the noose around their neck wasn’t tight enough already, in light of the sudden wave of countries who have decided to turn from secular dictatorships that ruled with an iron hand to a more radical Islamic form of government bent on imposing Sharia law and driving Israel into the sea. The later scenario seems to fit President Barack Hussein Obama just fine based on his confusing policies throughout the Middle East during the last three years

The Beginning of the End for Obama's Presidency

Like Queequeg in the 1851 novel Moby Dick, by Herman Melville, President Obama began building his own coffin with his “American Jobs Bill” speech last night. None of his proposals will spur growth in the private sector and I believe he knows it and simply doesn’t care. As long as the economy continues to tank and America continues to lose influence in the world, he’ll be happy to begin his campaign now and blame Republicans in every speech for not getting on board, even though I’m sure they will support many of his proposals like 1) the extension of unemployment benefits; 2) a Payroll tax holiday; 3)tax credits for small businesses to hire more people; and 4) more pork for roads and bridges. The only result will be continuance of the status quo as none of the proposals that have been supported in the past, by the way, will do anything to decrease the nations 9.2% unemployment rate which continued to plod along with zero job growth in August as discussed in an astute article entitled Last Night President Obama Sowed the Seeds of his Own Destruction by Erick Erickson at the conservative political website Red State.Com

What we heard last night was nothing more than the kickoff speech to his 2012 Presidential Campaign in which he will travel the country tirelessly blaming Republicans for the failure of his Presidency and attempting to take Republicans and Tea Party types “out” as Jimmy Hoffa so crudely stated on Labor Day, which I won’t repeat here as I find his profanity laced tirade offensive. And what made it even more repulsive was to see President Obama standing by his side and smiling approvingly while he sent the clear message out to union thugs everywhere.

Despite the uneasiness I felt as though I was being assaulted with a “two” by “four” at that event and during the speech before the Joint Session of Congress (talk about overkill), I could sense the energy coming forth from the "dark side" as in the Star Wars movie series as we watched a community organizer in the best traditions of "thuggery" or "bullying" if you prefer offer the Republicans “a deal they couldn’t refuse” that would make Vito Corleone proud as well by threatening to travel the country tirelessly and attack congressional republicans if they didn’t sign the "American Jobs Bill" which means the whole bill and nothing but the whole bill or as Rob Emmanuel said once, pertaining to members of Congress who didn’t get on board with the President’s program at the time…they’re Dead! Dead! Dead!

Well many of these valiant Republican supporters of the Tea Party agenda are not going to flinch. They will hold their ground. They understand that the future of America depends on it.

A focus group seen on the Sean Hannity Show after the speech surprised me by not falling for Obama's deceptive ploy. The group which was split 50/50 between those who voted for McCain in 2008 and those who voted for Obama was not impressed with the speech and felt that nothing he said could be believed based on his tract record during the last three years. Only the three African American members of the group were willing to vote for him again though they didn’t really think he could win and blamed those who wouldn’t support him.

Others reminded them that he had the support of both houses of Congress early in his term and decided to embark on a job killing strategy with his health care plan that will burden businesses with more regulations and expenses instead of doing anything to grow the private sector when it is fully implemented

Our last chance to save this country by replacing Obama will occur on election day in 2012 and Thursday night the process began as the entire nation watched the President begin building his own coffin, as Queequeg did when he sensed doom, and Wall Street seems ready to do as well while members of his own party seemed more than willing to hand him the nails that are certain to seal his fate. All of this may not be such a bad thing, though. Remember in the end it was Queequeg's coffin that saved Ishmael from a watery grave and allowed him to be rescued. We can only pray that a new administration steeped in a solid belief in American exceptional-ism and a desire to save us and future generations from further economic demise will suddenly appear and deliver us to safety as well.

Elites Way Off on Sarah Palin's Electability

I just discovered a great series of articles on Sarah Palin's electability. The following was posted on Mar 17th, 2011 at an online polling analysis sight called pollinsider.

By “elites”, the article is not discussing the point of view of Liberal Democrats, but Republican inside the beltway elites, like Charles Krauthammer, George Will, and even "ruling class member wannabee", Karl Rove who is being treated with unprecedented respect by the Washington Ruling Class these days. After all the beltway set needs at least one or two token conservatives to show up to their dinner and cocktail parties, don't they.

We know from past experience,on the other hand, that Liberal Democrat Elites unequivocally consider someone a viable candidate who can actually win when that candidate like George W Bush, Ronald Reagan and now Palin and Bachman are treated to the type of vicious and hostile rhetoric which is always hurled there way. But if the mainstream liberal media really felt these Republican "targets of unbridled hatred" had no chance to win as they constantly point out to us with non-stop polling data they and their army of pollsters manufacture on a daily basis, then don't you think they would be encouraging these " sure losers" to run" Of course they would" But they are not, are they?

NO...NO...NO....Anyone but Sarah they say. And don't insult my intelligence by telling me that she simply isn't qualified because no one was ever more unqualified to run for President than Obama and he is still the most inept and unqualified person in any room he enters. And it is really obvious when he doesn't have his teleprompter with him, you have to admit.

Instead these progressive scribes, analysts. and pundits like Bill what's his name on HBO, oh yes Mauer, who have been attacking Sarah and Michelle recently with vitriol laced rhetoric rarely seen in American politics. It would seem that they are hoping and praying, (well not praying) that any of the other Republicans who have announced their candidacy will win the GOP nomination and run against OBama in 2012. Yes, as long as it is not one of these two Conservative women at the helm of the Tea Party movement which won the approval of the American electorate in a landslide election victory last November, they are pretty sure that Obama will get another four years, which I believe would be disastrous for the Country.

The Washington establishment is now learning, however, that the Tea Party and Conservative base behind that earth shattering and historic victory last November actually mean business and they are having a hard time believing that they will not cave and allow tax hikes.

Other Republicans like Romney, Huckabee, McCain and the latest to top the "DC Social Circuit Invitation List", the Senate "Gang of 6" who embody the old RINO "Compromise and Let's Make a Deal Philosophy" that got us into the present mess, are not being treated with such hostility....

On a day when I begin publishing this series of articles that should give us all second thoughts on Sarah Palin's electability comes news that President Obama would lose to Mitt Romneyif the election were held today, according to a poll released today by a Democrat polling firm..

I'm afraid, however that if Romney gets the GOP nomination many conservatives would sit the election out again, because of the similar way we know he would damage the Republican party nationwide as he did to the Republican party here in Massachusetts which is beyond hope in my opinion. The Progressives rule here and have succeeded in marginalizing and demonizing social and fiscal conservatives in the GOP to the extent that Conservatives are more despised by the Republican RINO establishment than even liberal Democrats are. I also believe that Romney and his money has had a lot to do with that demonization of social conservatives in Massachusetts during previous elections here and many believe he has also had a lot to do with the rise in power and influence of the Gay lobby in the Massachusetts GOP.

Romney would kill the tea party movement in Washington and if you think he would repeal ObamaCare, then I've got some oceanview property for you at a bargain basement price. Anyway...back to the article regarding Sarah Palin's electability

This article is the first in a series examining Sarah Palin’s electability, and why the Republican, Liberal, and Media Elites are using bias over analysis.

As we consider the electability of candidates, namely Sarah Palin, we first must consider the candidates floors. A “floor” is a candidate’s guaranteed minimum percentage based on current polling data, accounting for all factors. Obama’s floor, or guaranteed vote, according to analysis of current polling is 43%. What this means is that 43% of people will vote for Barack Obama no matter who his opponent is. It could be much higher, but probably not any lower. This number is arrived at by reviewing 6 months of polling date from all polling firms. This is Obama’s floor because, depending on his opponent, his support grows or shrinks, but rarely below 43%.

Sarah Palin’s current floor is determined to be 39% as she typically registers 39% or 40% in head-to-head match-ups against Obama (not counting 3-way race polling). So today, the floor stands at Obama 43% and Palin 39%, or Obama +4. Yes, I know what the skeptics/elites would say to this: “But Obama always scores much higher than 43% against Palin, duh!” That is true, but the point of determining a floor is to understand a candidate’s solid support. Elites prefer to go light on analysis and heavy on drama. If a poll shows Obama scoring 53% against one candidate and 42% against another, his support is quite volatile, and can be changed as information is acquired.

What does this all mean? For one, it is good news for Sarah Palin. Figure that almost all media coverage of Palin for the previous 2 years has been incredibly negative, accusatory, insulting, misleading, and “downright mean”, to quote Michelle Obama. It’s amazing to read something Palin writes or says and see how it is maliciously twisted into a salacious sound bite. Unfortunately most people at this stage know the sound bite, but not what she actually says. Meanwhile, despite being generally inept, but receiving glorious and glowing coverage from the media, Obama’s floor is at a mere 43%. This means that all the positive coverage on the world for Obama and all the negative coverage in the world for Palin results only in a 4 point spread.

When we toss in candidate favorable/unfavorable opinion we find a very interesting fact. Let’s not pretend that Palin’s current favorables are high. In reality, they shouldn’t be. We have to remember that 80% of the population’s opinion of Palin is currently formed by the media’s representation of her. Or, misrepresentation if you prefer, and I do. But Sarah Palin heavily outperforms her favorability rating, in many cases by 2-1 margins. Meanwhile Obama underperforms his favorable rating, usually by 10-15 percentage points. So far more people will vote for Sarah Palin even with a negative opinion of her while far fewer people with a positive opinion of Obama will vote for him. This only works in Palin’s favor as she is able to make the case for herself and opinions of her arise. If a large percentage of people will vote for her when they do not like her, what happens when the percentage of people who do like her increases dramatically, as will inevitably be the case.

So, how does Palin raise her floor? The good news is: things couldn’t get worse for Palin. The majority of current opinion about Palin is formed not on thoughtful consideration of her, but on minimally whimsical knowledge bandied about by frivolous “media” and entertainment personalities. Most voters, sadly, know more about Charlie Sheen and American Idol than they do about Sarah Palin or Barack Obama. Their opinion of her is that she is a ditzy beauty queen who is obviously controversial and not electable, and very, very right wing. After all, we just got our news from Saturday Night Live, Politico, or The Daily Show, so it must be true.

But what happens when 100 Million people tune into a debate between Barack Obama and Sarah Palin? What happens when she speaks freely and convincingly in that debate, as she did in a great interview with the Long Island Association? And then what happens when people realize that she isn’t the moron “they” have attempted to portray her as? That she can speak without uhhh’s and ummm’s like someone else cannot? And when Palin releases, yes I will say it, Reaganesque commercials that are inspiring and uplifting, you know about America being that shining city on a something or another? How quickly will opinion change when people realize that Sarah Palin is not what the media have portrayed her as?

And about those “controversial” opinions she holds? What happens when Americans realize that it is those “controversial” opinions that the majority of Americans agree with, often by wide margins. Well, that is a matter for Part 2 of Elite’s Way Off on Palin Electability.

Tired Old Class Envy Arguments

I get so tired of hearing class envy arguments filled with the same old liberal clichés which always come down to one thing: tax increases for the rich in the name of “liberal” code words like “fairness”, which is another word for “income redistribution”. I abhor the Robin Hood analogy of stealing from those who work, create jobs, and put their capital at risk to give to those who don’t work or know the first thing about how to create a job.

The government will never be the solution for solving our economic problems and creating a robust economy. The solution has always been and always will be with a private sector based on the constitutional guarantees of liberty and private property rights, which for the most part means “money”.

Liberal Democrats have no right to to decide how much is too much for people to have. “Keep your grubby hands off my money” I always say, and unfortunately I don’t have very much of it. If I want to be charitable and it was one of the Bible based beliefs this country was founded on i.e. “faith, hope, and charity” then that is my choice and my responsibility before God. It is not the governments right to force me to be charitable.

The government in my opinion is no more than a school yard bully ready to take your lunch money at a moments notice and is always an entity we need protection against.

Furthermore, I believe the government is not and never will be a friend that can be trusted. Those qualities belong to the country, which was ingeniously designed during its’ founding to maintain a weak central government for the most part linked to a confederation of strong state governments which many have given their life for over the years so we all may enjoy the God given rights of “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”, so important to the founding fathers.

I'm almost ready to start political blogging again but not today...

My first post since entering a self imposed exile from political blogging is about the musical project portrayed on the cover of the "Our Love is Here to Stay" CD which consisted of arranging music and performing instrumentally in a recording session at the BIAS studios in the Washingtonon, Dc area for a talented vocalist, Diana Peterson, who performed as featured vocalist with the Sixth Fleet Music Show from 1972-1974 while I performed as a pianist and arranger. Although Diana and I disagree on politics, big time, we both are on the same page when it comes to music (thank goodness)

Other musicians on the session included Alan Gaumer who was a jazz trumpet player, close friend, and musical mentor of mine from my sixth Fleet days; Diana's talented daughter Laura who also contributed as an arranger and keyboard instrumentalist; Diana's college roommate and oboe virtuoso, Joyce James, formerly of the Florida Symphony and Tony Bennet's former Bass Player, Paul Langosh. The talented group also included DC studio pros Darryl Brensel, alto sax; Bruce Swaim, tenor sax; John Jenson, trombone; Dominic Smith, drums and Bruce Parker, guitar.

The CD was a vision of Diana's and consists of love songs that Diana selected with great care and presented to myself and Laura to arrange for the CD in order to help celebrate her 40th Wedding Anniversary to her husband Gordon, who also disagrees with me about politics, but loves the musical output on this CD. John Sununu: Mass GOP needs to stop treating conservatives like pariahs

This week on the Howie Carr Radio Show in Boston, I've been told that John Sununu was asked by Carr what Massachusetts could learn from the success the GOP had in NH, and Sununu said that even in liberal MA, the base was the conservatives and the establishment had to stop treating the conservatives like pariahs.

I couldn’t agree more. Rush Limbaugh has been saying for years that the majority of Americans are Conservative, and I believe that applies to Massachusetts residents as well. They may not vote that way, but they're conservative in the way they raise their families, run their lives, and manage their finances.

When their debts begin to mount they cut back on their expenses. That's fiscal conservatism. And they drive their kids to Sunday School or Catechism classes, and teach them to say grace around the table. That's the beginning of training in social conservatism. And they wave the American flag proudly on the Fourth of July and at parades honoring veterans. They teach their kids to be respectful during the playing of the national anthem at ball games, and to work hard in school and become law abiding citizens.

That covers traditional Conservative values and in a very simplistic way all three phases of the Reagan Conservative model which Ronald Reagan referred to as a three legged stool: Fiscal conservatism; social conservatism; and national security. I see no evidence that most people in Mass are attempting to bring up their kids as radical socialist wackos and instilling them with hatred towards the United States, like President Obama's parents did to him with the help of a variety of radical marxist mentors.

The Mass GOP needs to get behind the true Conservatives and Tea Party types all over this country if they want to obtain any relevancy in the Country's political spectrum. The leadership needs to stop worrying about what a candidate needs to say or shouldn't say in order to win. Just pick true conservatives who are true to their own convictions and they'll come across as being sincere rather than political opportunists trying to win an election by saying the right things.

Winning shouldn't be the ultimate goal. Educating the electorate and building a larger conservative constituency is what is needed through debates and campaign appearances during the primary and into the general election campaigns. We do that and that will lead to electoral victories eventually. This Mass GOP stands for nothing and deserved to lose. How dare they try to present the case that our candidates deserve their vote simply because the Democrat candidate that has worked so hard at constituent services proved himself to be inept at managing the nation's or the state's economy and contributed to the recesssion. Why can't they build a case for voting for Republican candidates because of who they are alone, not what's wrong with the other candidate?

Right now the Mass GOP has nothing what-so-ever to offer the GOP nationwide except the ability and an apparent willingness to drag it down. There needs to be a clean sweep of the Mass GOP leadership including the State Committees and all the RTC's that supported the Gubernatorial and Congressional candidates that lost, and replace them with true Ronald Reagan conservatives and/or tea party supporters who are also social conservatives. (The greater boston Tea Party leadership is a fraud and a joke for refusing to support candidates that are social conservatives). Until that happens the Mass GOP is destined to lose, lose, and lose some more.

As the dust begins to settle in the aftermath of Tuesday’s election, like all Conservative Republicans in Massachusetts, I’m filled with mixed emotions.

I’m elated at the success the GOP experienced nationally, while disappointed somewhat bitterly at the outright rejection of the GOP in Massachusetts, though not surprised.

While Conservatism triumphed nationally it was moderate Republicanism or if you will, Progressive Elitism that was really being rejected in Massachusetts. So what else is new?

Another way to describe it was we ran candidates who were pretending to be conservatives while not speaking out on social issues. The ones that did were viciously attacked and slandered by the Republican progressives during the primary campaign.

Once the candidates were selected, I congratulated them publicly and then tried to keep my mouth shut and do my duty while holding my nose at the same time, because I knew it was all a big charade. Although I admit that at one point I was ready to explode when a candidate who claimed to be a conservative stated emphatically during a debate that Roe vs Wade is settled law. A true conservative could never conclude that a bad law based on a false constitutional right such as the non existent "Right to Privacy" could ever become settled law. But I reigned in my anger and deleted an angry reply I posted in response to the statement and refrained from commenting further throughout the rest of the campaign though it killed me to do so.

The Democrat candidates in Massachusetts did not have to run as liberals. They were liberals at their very core and proud of it. Some of the Democrats and most of the Independents that voted for them were not happy with the state of the economy, Obamacare, and many regulations being imposed on them by the Obama administration, such as was the case with the Fishing Industry in Massachusetts' ports like Gloucester and New Bedford, yet they still voted for their candidates.

These same democrat and independent voters looked at the Republican candidates and saw intelligent, articulate, Democrat Lite candidates but saw nothing that stood out as a strong contrasting choice, who was willing to fight hard for their local concerns. And until the Mass GOP figures out that a moral compass is needed to sustain the third leg of Ronald Reagan’s conservative stool, i.e. Social Conservatism, they will continue to lose and lose badly. If their is no moral base there the stool drifts left of center and looks remarkably like the Democrat alternative only not as strong and true to its convictions.These candidates shouldn’t have to put on an act in order to win elections. The GOP leadership needs to run genuine, true conservatives who believe the words they speak because it is who they are. Why is this so difficult to understand?

I just spent some time reading posts at Red Mass Group and some of the old guard Republicans are attempting to reshape the party after it's dismal failure the other day and they are having intellectual discussions that make my head spin. Part of the problem is that these elites don't understand that there is a difference between intelligence and wisdom. Anyway they’re having discussions about the need to find a philosophy they can latch on to like Yankee Republicanism and were dropping names from the country club Republican vernacular like Henry Cabot Lodge, Saltonstall, Volpe and names I haven’t heard since the 1950’s.

I'd like to make a suggestion. Try Conservatism as demonstrated successfully I might add during the tenure of President Ronald Reagan. Most of the country did last Tuesday with the help of the grass roots tea party movement and the results were a net gain of 63 seats in the House and 6 in the Senate.

The excitement is building within the Sean Bielat campaign to remove Barney Frank from office in the Massachusetts 4th Congressional District. According to a great web site I just discovered called the Hill Buzz, “Sean Bielat is presently surging to within the margin of error" against Barney. The article goes on to say " the whole state is practically begging voters in the 4th to retire Barney, but the district is drawn to be virtually bullet proof for Dems, and Barney rolled home from Washington with pockets overflowing with pork, so this is a real battle."

Bielat is presently running three dynamite TV ads in the Boston and Providence markets that can be seen in a preview in Thursday's post on this website
The ads have generated a lot of excitement among supporters so we'll just have to see what happens. I'm starting to think that he just might pull it off.

Barney is starting to appear like a two-for-one encyclopedia salesman with his non stop offerings of pork to the South Coast during the last few days, where he traditionally has very strong Democrat support. He also appeared on the Ken Pittman Radio Show on WBSM, New Bedford, this week which struck me as an unusual move just days before an election as Ken is an unapologetic Bielat supporter and would be a very tough hostile interviewer for Frank, yet he must have felt he needed to speak to his constiuency in the area and present his side of the arguments that Ken would present. I think he's in trouble and he knows it as was indicated by the fact he put $200K of his own money into his campaign last week.

The Republican candidate for Attorney General, Jim McKenna, who made history on September 14th by securing his spot on the ballot with a write in campaign, says the impact of his grass roots campaign will be huge if he retires Martha Coakley on November 2nd and It would absolutely shatter the political establishment which he likes to call “the Beacon Hill Boy’s and Girl’s Club”

Jim who felt he had no choice but to run a write in campaign after the Mass GOP did not nominate a candidate to run against the AG incumbent says, “I could not stand to sit back and watch Martha Coakley go unchallenged in this election. Having incumbents breeze to victory is not what our Democracy is all about”

McKenna feels that Coakley who said “It’s not illegal to be illegal in Massachusetts” has been particularly irresponsible in the area of illegal immigration when more than $35 million in taxpayer’s money has been shelled out to pay for free services for over 52,000 illegal aliens in Massachusetts.

McKenna says “it is irresponsible for our state, specifically Deval Patrick and Martha Coakley, to allow taxpayers to carry the burden of providing services for these illegal aliens that are breaking the law. This is amnesty by default.”

In addition to being wrong on illegal immigration, McKenna feels Coakley has failed to clean up political corruption on Beacon Hill.

“She has been more focused on prosecuting Garden Clubs”, McKenna says than with the law makers stuffing bribes down their shirts”. "It has been federal authorities that were responsible for uncovering and prosecuting the most significant corruption charges, including those against former Boston State Senator Diane Wilkerson. McKenna who has a slogan posted on his website that says: “The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who do nothing about it” comments further on the Wilkerson matter by saying “the Attorney General should never look the other way on political corruption".

McKenna who believes his campaign has accomplished a lot in a short period of time has picked up endorsements by Governor Tom Ridge; Senator Scott Brown; U.S. Attorney Michael Sullivan; and most recently former Mass Governor and probable 2012 Presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

A poll released on Oct 15th by Opinion Dynamics showed McKenna was gaining momentum and was behind Coakley by only 9 percentage points. According to a Boston Globe Blog: “These are impressive numbers for a guy who made it on the ballot at the last minute with a statewide write in campaign”

The race in the Massachusetts 4th congressional District between Sean Bielat ® and Barney Frank (D) is becoming much tighter, according to the Cook Political Report which just moved the race up to the category of “Leaning Democrat”.

On Oct 12th Cook sent shockwaves throughout the political spectrum when he moved the nationally watched race from the category of “"Solid Democrat” to “Likely Democrat"”

Additionally a photo copy of an internal Bielat campaign memo has shown up on the Fleming and Hayes website that shows the race is in a statistical dead heat. The memo was leaked from an anonymous source.

According to a Bielat campaign insider who blogs in support of Bielat at Red Mass Group “All of this has happened without any truly great TV advertising. This weekend I think you’ll see Sean at his best in 3 new ads that will be widely broadcast in Boston and Providence TV markets." All three of the new ads are included below.

The same source also indicated that expectations are high that the campaign will move once again to the “toss up” status by election day because of the high level of enthusiam for Bielat's candidacy that has been generated among voters who have seen the ads.

Abandoned Dog that helped a family get through the grieving process passes away

People bring home pets for various reasons, but one of the most poignant is when it is to provide a welcome distraction for a family that is dealing with the heart wrenching loss of a loved one?

I don’t know for sure, but perhaps that is what my sister Joanne Greenberg, originally from New Bedford and now living in North Reading, MA was thinking when she brought home an affable canine companion named Rosie following the unexpected death of her husband, Peter at age 50 in 2002. Although Joanne says that she acquired the dog from an animal shelter for her two young sons, Ethan, 9, and Zachary, 11, it was clear that the dog bonded with Joanne immediately and vice versa.

Perhaps the dog sensed Joanne’s needs and the terrible grief she was feeling following her loss, but what-ever the reason…Rosie, who had been abandoned, and picked up off the streets by animal rescue league workers was so excited to have a new family that she seemed to make it her mission in life to greet Joanne every time she entered a room, following her everywhere and even causing her to trip over her sometimes. And, of course, she had to plunk down on the same bed with her every night while she slept.

I always thought the best part about Rosie, besides the fact she seemed to be comfortable around people, even strangers, was that she never barked and Joanne liked that as well, but we all knew she was far from being the perfect dog: like the time she burrowed through the screen door, ruining it, to escape the lonely household and lie outside on the grass while waiting for the family to return after a busy day in the world; or the many times that she buried her food or snacks underneath the couch cushions causing Joanne to be constantly in the process of washing her slip covers and removing stains from her carpet. Eventually she just gave up and removed the whole carpet.

But all that doesn't seem to matter any more as the self-assured, medium sized Basenji dog who became an important member of their family passed away last week from kidney problems, cancer, and finally a stroke. Joanne and her friend Susan carried the suffering animal to the vet last Wednesday, where she witnessed her last breath. It was all so sad. Joanne wept. Her sons wept, and anyone who knew the story of this once abandoned dog who offered nothing less than unconditional love has been a little sad and teary-eyed this week as well.

Boston Globe Poll has Frank leading Bielat by 13 points

A new poll taken by the Boston Globe has US Representative Barney Frank, Democrat of Newton, leading his Republican challenger Sean Bielat by 13 percentage points among likely voters in the Massachusetts Fourth Congressional District. The survey of 385 likely voters had a margin of error of 5 percent.

Bielat, a moderate Republican who was endorsed by John McCain last week has aggressively attacked Frank for his role in the Fannie Mae – Freddie Mac debacle which led to the financial meltdown and present recession with skyrocketing unemployment. Bielat also received an endorsement from Sarah Palin last week as well, but dismissed it by saying, though he welcomed her endorsement he did not seek it and that she was not his top choice for a Presidential run.

Bielat said recently that he felt momentum in the race begin to shift toward him when Bill Clinton appeared at a Frank Rally and when it was reported that Frank felt it necessary to give $200k towards his own campaign for the final stretch run. Frank on the other hand has criticized the former Marine Lieutenant and Consultant to Department of Defense Contractors for his willingness to consider raising the Social Security retirement age to 72.

When questioned by reporters at a recent press conference on his views on abortion Bielat stated his belief that "Roe vs Wade was settled law" which prompted a lecture from Frank that it was a 5/4 decision which continues to be challenged by Republicans intent on getting more conservatives nominated to the Supreme court and is hardly settled law in his view.

With 11% of voters still undecided it is unclear which way they will break, although many political professionals believe that undecided voters this close to election usually break against the incumbent which could be good news for the Bielat camp considering the 5% margin of error.

The Globe article also said “voters also seemed unsure of his positions, background, or even that he was running at all, while many voiced support for Frank, who has represented the diverse district for three decades . The poll also showed that enthusiasm for voting in the election was running much higher among Republicans than Democrats.

I responded with an extremely emotional response of my own that you may have read if you visited my sight during the wee hours of the morning.

I still plan on voting for Bielat because I believe he will support efforts to repeal health care and other socialist schemes that are underway in Washington under the present administration, but I'm disappointed about his comments regarding Sarah Palin's endorsement, Roe vs Wade, and other statements which I don't think are appropriate for someone who calls himself a Tea Party supporter or a Conservative. He may be Conservative when it comes to Fiscal and National Security Issues, but he certainly is not a Social Conservative a la Ronald Reagan, but I've been told over and over again that the only thing the American people care about during this election cycle is reducing the size of government and jobs, jobs, and more jobs, which I don't believe for one second, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Barney Frank might be dancing around the issues, but in the last two weeks he has appeared in New Bedford , the largest city in the district, bearing major gifts for the region along with Governor Deval Patrick who like Frank has always realized that they can do no wrong in this Democrat stronghold on the Massachusetts South Coast as long as they keep the pork flowing.

And boy is it flowing. With the election less than two weeks away these two master politicians are treating every day down here like it’s Xmas.

Yesterday Frank and Patrick were in town to announce the plan to construct the New Bedford Marine Commerce Terminal which will be the country’s first port facility designed specifically to support the assembly and installation of offshore wind projects according to an article in the New Bedford Standard Times entitled “Governor leads raucous celebration of New Bedford’s Cape Wind Coup

“Cape Wind, a project that is another first for the U.S. will use the facility during its construction and manufacturing phases, directly creating as many as 1, 000 jobs in Southeastern Massachusetts and positioning New Bedford to attract many more as the offshore wind industry continues to grow", officials said.

Patrick told the enthusiastic crowd that “the project really positions New Bedford to be a major player in offshore wind for projects all along the Atlantic Coast.

Last week a beaming Barney Frank held a news conference at the New Bedford Whaling Museum along with local officials announcing that he had received a letter from the US Commerce Secretary promising to spend millions on new scientific assessments of northeastern fish stocks and to consider loosening regulations that are driving fishermen out of business. New Bedford Fisherman have always raised Frank to the level of a legend in their minds and it appears that nothing will change along those lines before election day on November 2nd.

In fact with 12 days before election day to go I’m reminded of the traditional Christmas Carol “The Twelve Days of Christmas”. You know…on the 12th day of Xmas my true love gave to me…1)a new port facility…2) all the fish you want…3) new railroad bridges 4) a new Rt 24 exit to a 5) new industrial park 6)lots of stimulous money 7) a new meditech 8)a new law school…9)lots of renovation projects and 10) conversion of empty mill space 10)…a Bread Basket Grocery store…11) harbor cleanup 12 and a partridge and a pear tree..

Sean Bielat may not need to dance around the issues as he points out in the above video but if I were him I'd spend every waking moment during the next two weeks doing standouts and knocking on every door in the city of New Bedford, because right now it’s Xmas down here and the people in this town are not about to tell Santa and his helper (Barney and Deval) to get lost...believe me, I know these people. They could care less about "Fannie What?" and "Freddie Who"?. "Just keep the gifts comin, they tell Barney, "and you'll always be our congressman"! And so the conversation goes down here on the South Coast...

I'm sure that Bielat has been advised to stick with his strategy of nationalizing the election the way most Republican candidates across the nation are doing but how do you get your constituents to focus on issues like the financial meltdown when you're opponent is bringing home the bacon in such an aggressive manner?

RIP Dr Mildred Jefferson

Dr Mildred Jefferson, pro-life crusader and political activist,died Friday in Cambridge, MA. at age 84.

According to the Boston Herald , “she was the first black woman to graduate from Harvard Medical School and helped establish the National Right to Life Committee.”

“Dr Jefferson was born in Pittsburg, Texas in 1926, the daughter of a school teacher and a minister. She graduated from Texas College in Tyler and earned a master’s degree from Tuft's University in Medford, MA. Jefferson had also taught as an assistant clinical professor at Boston University Medical School and was given honorary degrees by 28 schools.”

It is clear from the following interview entitled Dr Mildred Jefferson on Welfare and Social Anarchy that she was a special warrior in America’s fight to restore dignity and respect for all human souls. RIP Dr Jefferson.

Something to think about this Halloween

Another name for forced redistribution of anything is theft. And government ordained or legalized theft is still theft. If you're really concerned about helping people the way liberals always say they are you wouldn't lead them into a state of dependency on government for their basic subsistance.

It's the same as telling them: "I know you're stupid and incapable of taking care of yourselves, but don't worry about it because the government will take care of you now." Although it might make liberals feel good about themselves it does nothing to help others find the American dream, freedom, and prosperity through hard work, diligence, and their own God given abilities and talents, the way previous generations have.

And liberal politicians don't ever want their constituents to become successful that way because if they do , then they won't need them anymore and they'll lose their position of power and influence, which is their key to getting re-elected over and over again.

I wonder how the liberal media that has been looking the other way during Barney's fumbles and mismanagement of the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac disaster would have felt if they had noticed Bielat’s wife standing their firing personal attacks at Barney Frank during a meeting with members of the press.

It's no wonder that Bielat was taken aback by the idea of Barney's significant other heckling him. Doesn't Barney have a staff that can warn him when he or those close to him are about to do something foolish? Apparently not!

Even though Frank is the experienced incumbent in this race, he does not appear to be acting like it. In fact, it is the first time he has run against someone who has had the full backing of his/her party plus financial assistance from Republican donors nationwide eager to remove him from his powerful leadership role in Congress, thus providing his opponent the resources necessary to launch a sustained campaign at an effective level.

After just two and a half months of campaigning, Martha Coakley is below 50 percent and he is closing the gap.

I am campaigning hard every day, meeting with voters and getting our message of putting enforcement back into law enforcement. Massachusetts Insight/Opinion Dynamics Poll: 57% will vote against incumbent in Congressional races

There is something in the air among Republican activists in Massachusetts, particularly regarding the up and coming Congressional elections on November 2, 2010. According to the editor of the Red Mass Group blog, Rob “Eabo Clipper” Eno in an article on one of the questions that he says has been overlooked in the recent Mass Insight/Opinion dynamics Poll taken in Oct 2010 , “It’s beginning to feel a lot like January 19th”.

Jan 19. 2010 of course was the day a little known Massachusetts State Senator named Scott Brown sent a shockwave throughout the entire national political landscape by winning the enshrined Kennedy seat against Martha Coakley in what orignally was expected to be an exercise in futility. If any congressional seat could be called a "safe Democrat seat" it was the one that was first occupied by the future President of the United States, John F Kennedy in 1953 until his younger brother Ted Kennedy succeeded him following a special election in 1962. Kennedy who became known as the "Lion of the Senate" held it for 47 years until his death in 2009 from brain cancer.

Brown's unprecedented victory gave hope to aspiring Republican political candidates throughout the congressional Districts in Mass that they actually might have a chance to break through the heavily guarded Democrat gates to the US Congress that had completely eluded all Republican hopefuls in not only Massachusetts but all of New England in the 2008 election.

The Mass Insight/Opinion Dynamics Poll shows that 57% of the 431 Massachusetts registered voters polled stated they would vote against their current member of Congress while 38% said they would vote for their current representative.

The question asked to voters who stated they were definitely voting in the November election was as follows:

How likely are you to vote against the incumbent Democrat in your congressional district in the elections this November? And the results were as follows: very likely=36%; somewhat likely=21%; not very likely=11%; not likely at all=27%; don’t know=5%.

Debate IV: Bielat vs Frank

Last night the 4th debate between Democrat incumbent Barney Frank of the Massachusetts 4th Congressional District and Republican challenger Sean Bielat occurred on the WGBH TV program “Greater Boston”, hosted by Emily Rooney.

Frank continued to doggedly blame Republicans for not sending a bill through in 2005 that would have implemented more regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac even though he resisted the efforts and voted against it. At that point Bielat interjected the quote of the evening: “So you’re upset that Republicans voted the same way you did, he asked while displaying a perplexed expression and laughing at the unflappable Congressman along with Rooney herself who couldn't resist joining in.

Although Bielat clarified earlier in the debate that he did not feel that Frank was solely responsible for the Home Mortgage meltdown in 2008 that resulted from a loaning binge in which people were given sub prime mortgages who clearly had no way to pay the money back he stressed that there were few that were more culpable for this fiasco than Frank.

Republican bloggers beginning to smell blood in the water at the way Bielat has successfully pounded away at Franks involvement in the Financial Crash which led to the present depression and Frank's defensive posture during the debates this week commented at the Red Mass Group Blog in the way in which Frank seemed to be digging a deeper and deeper hole for himself during his futile atempts to explain his way out of this mess.

And I will agree that discussion of the Fannie and Freddie debacle is not going away and does appear to have the potential to become Frank's waterloo, if he keeps explaining it as ineptly as he has. In fact, it makes one wonder why Frank even agreed to debate the well educated and articulate Bielat in the first place, who has been proving all week, to be more than capable, to stand up to the feisty and fast talking orator who is famous for his classic rants from the floor of the US Congress as well as his quick thinking, sarcastic retorts, and persistance in arguing his points against political opponents and TV pundits on the Fox News channel and on Youtube videos throughout the internet.

The next debate will be sponsored by the League of Women Voters at Lasell College in Newton, MA on October 17th at 5:00 PM. Newton MA is where Frank is from and where he has a very strong constituency.

Cook Report poll has Bielat trending closer to Frank in MA-04

According to the Boston Globe in an article entitled Cook Report: Frank's race could get competitive by Stephanie Vallejo, “the race between the Newton Democrat (Barney Frank, D) and republican nominee Sean Bielat (R) shifted over the weekend from a rating of solid Democrat to likely Democratic

“The likely Democratic category is reserved for races that are not currently considered competitive but have the potential to move in that direction. Previously, the race in the Massachusetts Fourth District was considered so safe for Democrats that it didn’t bear mentioning.”

“Barney Frank is still a substantial favorite to win this race, but it’s now going to be a $2 million affair”, said David Wasserman, the House editor of the Cook Political Report. “This year is volatile, and the political dynamics might be worse right now than they were in January when Scott Brown won.”

When Congressman Frank was asked to explain the trend that shows Bielat gaining on him, during a debate on Fox 25 TV last night, Frank quibbled over the distinctions between the various categories rather than emphatically stating a specific reason for the obvious trend,which might have given the astute observer the feeling that Frank didn't have a clue why the public was turning on him and his fellow Democrats. Finally he reluctantly admitted that “nobody should take anything for granted and there was a great deal of uncertainty” (in the electorate)"

And my response to that would have been "duh...do you think?"

Bielat in turn seized on the opportunity to strike back at his opponent in light of his vacuous response by confidently asserting that “he (Barney Frank) doesn’t know why it is moving in that direction because he is out of touch with the opinions of his constituents which is typical of those serving in Congress over a long period of time. And he added that he himself was not interested in making a career out of serving in Congress, as he only planned to be their for a short time and hoped to make a difference before returning to civilian life."

Now, this is something I’ve never heard Sean Bielat say before and I followed him very closely during the Primary campaign against Earl Sholley, who promised out rightly to serve for no more than two terms. So it was good to hear him beginning to solidify a position on this very important idea i.e. term limits which would be a dagger in the heart to the professional political class for which Congressman Frank is their poster child after serving for thirty years. I will also say that he did not go as far as to say he supports term limits as such...

A spirit of cautious optimism seemed to be taking place within the Bielat campaign, in the aftermath of the recent poll results. Last night at the Red Mass Group blog, where a blogger and loyal Bielat supporter said “Charlie Cook had Scott Brown’s seat as likely Democrat until 1/07/10 when he moved it into the leaning category. Cook is one of the best pollsters out there, so the Seat is trending away and Mr. Bielat made a good point that Mr Franks failure to acknowledge the why’s of it does hi lite his disconnect”.

Debate III between Bielat vs Frank on Fox 25 TV last night does not disappoint

Sparks were flying again last night between Barney Frank and Sean Bielat in the third debate they have had in two days. Unfortunately I was watching the Chilean miners being lifted out of the mine along with a good part of the nation I imagine. But I’ve posted the debate here which was very ably moderated by Maria Stephanos, who kept the dialogue from getting out of control. Both candidates were allowed to ask each other a question which was an interesting twist and the debate even evolved into a discussion about Congressman Frank losing more ground in recent days to Bielat according to a poll that was released last weekend in the Cook Political Report which declared that Frank had moved from having a safe seat to being a likely winner

The second debate in the same day between Sean Bielat (R) and Barney Frank in MA-04 took place on a New England Cable Network (NECN) Television show entitled Broadside: The News with Jim Braude.

This time Barney was not allowed to filibuster as he did during the WRKO debate earlier in the day. Braude kept him in check, which doesn’t happen to Barney very often. Once I heard Frank say that he has been leading the fight to stop home ownership since 2004 he lost all credibility with me, not that he had any to begin with.
Bielat refused to let him get away with his whoppers this time and made a lot of sense explaining how the free market should have been allowed to solve problems rather than government intervention and bailouts.

Although Bielat did not do any favors for himself when he did not know what question #2 was on the Ballot for the Nov 2 election, I thought he clearly won this debate. Barney Frank did not even look at the camera when he was giving his closing statement, which made him appear less likable than he already is, which wasn’t an easy accomplishment.

First Debate turns into "The Barney Frank Show"

10:38 AM Wow! Now that I’ve had a chance to listen to the actual debate, I think Bielat did fight back more than I was led to believe by many of the callers in the immediate aftermath. He sounded confident, relaxed and not the least bit intimidated debating the long winded Congressman. And he even laughed at Barney which I think got under Frank's skin.

The moderators seem to be trying to help Frank out more than they did Bielat, but on the other hand I don’t believe they layed down as much as I was led to believe.

I will be analyzing the content of these debates and will post issues oriented analysis periodically during the next few days.

8:05 AM in the aftermath of the first debate between Barney Frank and Sean Bielat

Initial reaction to the debate on the Tom and Todd show on WRKO at 7:00 to 8:00 AM was that Barney kept talking and talking and talking. Unfortunately I missed it, as it was very important for me to listen to Mad Men last night as well as the show that precedes it, Rubicon, which along with the Good Wife are my favorite shows these days(LOL)but when I tuned into the station at 8:05 AM a heated discussion about the management of the debate by the moderators was underway. Apparently Todd and Tom allowed Barney to dominate the discussion, while Bielat was said to give very brief responses, though all agree he came across as intelligent and in the same league as Barney.

An internet poll of the audience’s reaction had Bielat leading by 93% which seem to contradict the impression of the debate that was dominated by people that supported Bielat but were outraged at Barneys “filibuster”.

As someone who has heard Bielat several times during his campaign against Earl Sholley in various interviews and 1 radio debate, I’m not surprised that Barney ran roughshod over him and I’m not surprised that WRKO allowed him to do as he pleased, which is probably one of the reasons the wily Frank agreed to that particular platform which has treated him very graciously in the past.

One of the callers was upset at Bielat for not willing to use our Military on the borders to keep illegal immigrants out. Another caller referred to him as a weak debater because he refused to debate his opponent in a real debate during the Primary campaign.

Four Debates scheduled in MA-04: Bielat vs Frank

Four debates have been scheduled between Sean Bielat (R) and Barney Frank (D) in the MA-04 Congressional race:

Debate 1: Oct 12, 7:00 – 8:00 AM, WRKO 680 AM

When Earl Sholley debated Barney Frank in 2008. Most observers agree that Sholley handled him very well and Frank was not pleased. I have no idea how Bielat will do in these debates because he refused to debate Sholley, except near the very end at zero-dark-thirty in a radio debate which according to an internet poll Sholley won handily.

In my opinion, it would have been better preparation for the first time candidate, Bielat, to debate the old pro Sholley as many times as possible to hone his Ivy league debating skills in a real world situation as well as to educate the public on the issues at hand. But I understand why he didn't even if Sholley still managed to get 40% of the vote in a campaign waged on a shoestring budget and no help from the RINO Mass GOP or friends of Mitt Romney in the national Conservative media, like Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity, and Michelle Malkin, who endorsed Bielat before the Primaries had even occurred in what I consider ill advised moves on their part.

I'll say it again. He still got 40% of the vote, so it's anyone's bet how these debates will go. Neither candidate seems to be running from the opportunity, so will just have to wait and see.

Barney Frank Takes Us for a Ride

I love this video that was produced outside of the Sean Bielat campaign by a talented 14 year old videographer. It is a brief but intense illustration of Barney Frank’s role in the Fannie and Freddie debacle. The scenario also brings into play, in a subtle way Herb Moses, Barney's partner at the time, who was dictating policy for the GSE’s.

Considering the amount of historical revision that Frank has been engaged in for some time, this simple but clever animation brings Frank's role in the financial crash of 2008 back into focus. People forget that the Democrats regained control of the Congress in 2006 and Frank took over as chairman of the House Financial Services Committee with all the power that entails.

We've seen video after video that shows him encouraging the policies of unbridled lending practices that had gone in to overdrive during the Clinton Administration. The evidence shows that President Bush and Republicans in Congress tried to get more regulation implemented but were discouraged from doing so by Democrats like Frank, Maxine Waters, Charlie Rangel, and Chris Dodd.

This video is a great reminder of what really happened as we approach the election, as well as a great teaching tool for younger people.

Good work kid. Even I get the point. Barney was the driving force behind the financial crash of 2008: He just kept driving while ignoring the housing bubble. I love the music also. Very effective. Very mature interpretation for a 14 year old political activist.

I don't understand how anyone could be apathetic about the up and coming election this November and why they can't understand the importance of identifying the most conservative candidates available and vote them into office. In the Massachusetts 4th Congressional District race between Sean Bielat (R) and Barney Frank (D), the choice is a no brainer. Barney Frank poses a terrible threat to the entire country and is one of the people that Obama needs to continue to dismantle our free market economy, which in my opinion has been his plan from the very beginning.

Obama was raised by radicals to believe that America is the cause of the world's problems and he is doing everything in his power to knock us off our perch. And the scary thing is he is succeeding, but we can slow him down immensely by putting the Congress back in control of the Republicans, who we can only pray have learned their lesson and will do a better job this time around. Let's give them another chance.

Electability factor for Republicans: "Normal People"-"Tea Party" candidates receive intense scrutiny when running for political office

The so called electability factor seems to be an issue in the minds of many conservatives who are uncomfortable with normal, everyday people, particularly tea party types, who enter the political arena, warts and all, and stand by and even join in when these candidates are attacked by Democrats in the media and in the blogs who hate conservatives and tell vicious lies about them. A perfect case in point is what happened to Earl Sholley in the MA-04 primary and is now happening to Christine O'Donnel in Delaware; Sharron Angle in Nevada; and Carl Palodino in New York.

These people gave up their privacy to run for office. How many of their attackers, many of whom are embarrassed by their presence on the ballot as Rush says would be able to endure the types of attacks and media scrutiny they have been submitted to. And what about you? Would you be able to handle that kind of scrutiny, lies, distortions, and cruel jokes.

Lets see. Give yourself the same type of anal exam they have been subjected to by answering the following questions: How many divorces have you had? Would you do well when your ex-wife or ex-husband was questioned? Have you had any children out of wedlock as Paldino has and have you ever been sued? Did you ever screw your bills up and have your electricity or telephones turned off? Have you ever had medical bills, loans or credit card debt that took you more than ten years to pay off? Are there any old friends that could testify to the fact you smoked marijuana or did cocaine during your "young and foolish days"? Have you ever had a confrontation with someone that caused you to make threats or use foul language or have you mouthed off to an arrogant cop who pulled you over and started talking to you rudely after you just had a fight with your wife, or a hard day at work, or after enduring some insults from your kids that really hurt you? (If you haven't...good for you, you're a very special person, whom I don't trust by the way)

Have you ever had problems with the IRS or State agencies like the Massachusetts Department of Social Services like Earl Sholley did many years ago? Perhaps they questioned you about some bruises your kid got in a fall of some type or altercation with school chums that his teacher turned you in for. What other things have happened in your life that would be an immense embarrassment for you if you were running for office and the truth were to be revealed by your opponents or the media? .

Is it necessary to lead a flawless personal life in order to run for political office? Well, if you're a Tea Party candidate or you're running a grassroots campaign without much help from the mainstream Republican party and/or the media, the way Earl Sholley was during the MA-04 Primary against Sean Bielat, or the way Christine O'Donnel, Sharron Angle, and Carl Palodino are doing at the moment, it is apparently.

I'd rather vote for someone who has lived a real life and understands the kinds of problems that real living can produce than some professional politician who buys hairspray and bot ox by the case to paraphrase Limbaugh in a recent tirade against those arrogant elite Republicans who display more hostility and vitriol to the Sarah Palins, Christine O'donnels, Carl Palodinos, and Earl Sholleys of the world than they do to the professional political class.

In a recent monologue in which he aired out his irritations at those who tell him they're embarrassed by many of these tea party candidates, Rush said:

"I thought we wanted people in Washington who look like everybody else in America. I thought we want people in Washington who have had negative encounters with the government, the bureaucracy, the oppressive elements of this regime so they can relate to it and stop it. I thought we want people in Washington who really want a flat tax and are not concerned with the power they'd be giving up in getting rid of the current progressive tax. I thought that's what we wanted."

So did I Rush. So did I.

Bielat the Moderate?

Anyone who has read The Jazz Patriot blog during the last nine months or read my posts or comments at Red Mass Group or the Free Republic knows that Sean Bielat was not my first choice to run against Barney Frank because I wasn't convinced he was a true conservative in the image of Ronald Reagan and I still don't think so

But perhaps selecting someone who is more moderate than the 40% of Republican voters who voted for Earl Sholley during the MA-04 Primary might be a strategy that works for Sean Bielat in his battle against Barney Frank. Being an unpredictable Republican Senate vote seems to be working for Scott Brown as it has for years with Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins up in Maine, so maybe it will work for Bielat as well.

And although I agree with Rush Limbaugh when he says that no one has ever written a book about the great moderates in American History and never will, it just might be a viable strategy for Republican candidates in Massachusetts even if it violates the newly formulated Limbaugh rule for Republican voting strategy: Always vote for the most conservative candidate available, whether you think that candidate is electable or not because you cannot see into the future..

After all if you are a conservative voter in Massachusetts, all you have is your integrity and the principles you believe in. But if were talking about a viable strategy for electing more conservative candidates in Massachusetts and particularly in MA-04 where Barney Frank only had to get his name on the ballot in order to win for many years now, I understand that you have to crawl before you can walk. Or as the Bible says you have to drink milk before you can eat steak and Republicans in Mass after four decades of Progressive Governors and thirty years of having one of the most powerful big spending, big government, liberal-socialist Democrats as their Congressman may not be ready to eat steak yet.

So while conservatism is on the ascendancy throughout the nation, "phony conservatism", "RINO Republicanism", or if you prefer "being a Moderate Republican" seems to be the latest craze in Massachusetts.

Anyway, if you're an independent or moderate Republican in MA-04,you can relax. I'm pretty sure he isn't one of those crazy "right wing nut jobs" like myself and other "Sholley" supporters, atleast that is what Bielat supporters who mistakenly made phone calls to Sholley supporters during the Primary campaign told us. And it was all because Sholley's people were opposed to the mindless slaughter of babies in their mother's wombs and were not afraid to speak in their defense boldly and publicly, no matter how unsettling it sounded to those in the GOP who had been advising Bielat not to mention the dreaded "A" word, and still are, apparently.

The latest internal poll released by the Bielat campaign shows Frank leading 48% to 38% in MA-04, but Bielat has a 17% lead among independents. The Frank campaign, however has him leading Bielat by 20 points

So don't get me wrong, I'll take an intelligent former Democrat and US Marine who is definitely a fiscal conservative who is committed to doing something about controlling entitlement programs any day of the week over Barney Frank and twice on Sundays. And if you're scared to death of "true conservatives" like myself who do not believe that Roe versus Wade is settled law and are opposed to gay marriage and homosexual activism in our schools, and still believe in "drill baby drill" along with alternative energy solutions, and consider Global Warming the biggest fraud ever perpetrated on the American people then you probably would have been more comfortable with the Mass GOP's choice of Sean Bielat over my choice, Earl Sholley, anyway. But then again, maybe not. Only time will tell, I suppose.

The important thing at the moment is that the Republicans regain control of Congress this November and bring common sense and sanity back to Washington which has been absent in large quantities since Barney Frank took over as the Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee which I believe will go down in history as one of America's darkest days if we don't do something to right the ship and do it quickly.

And that opportunity will come on November 2, 2010. Please take your responsibility seriously. Educate yourself about the candidates and then vote for Sean Bielat(LOL), who now refers to himself as a "citizen legislator" who will only run for "two or three terms", which is what the founding fathers envisioned Congressional representatives to be rather than the members of a professional political class for which congressman Frank is the quintessential poster child.

By the way, that line "citizen legislator" was taken directly from Earl Sholley's speeches and was mocked at throughout the campaign by many of Bielat's supporters, particularly when we used it during our blogging efforts on Sholley's behalf. But that's OKay, we're all part of the same team now, right? (LOL)

No Spillane: Barney got it all wrong!

Well, perhaps the only reason the public has supported the financial reform bill more than they have the Wall Street bailout, the stimulus bill, and the health care bill so far is because they still don’t know what’s in it. It’s impossible to really know what it means yet because the Congress has surrendered all kinds of regulatory power to the executive branch, and they haven't written the new regulations yet.

So it was "a legislative achievement" as Spillane referred to it only because it has been so successful in hiding its true purpose which was simply to grab more power in the on going quest of turning our free market economy into a command and control economy with the command and control centered in Washington. Furthermore it was authored by the two characters, Chris Dodd and Barney Frank, who played a leading role in the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac debacle that wasn’t even addressed in this bill.

The bill didn’t touch on those entities which were at the heart of our financial collapse and were expected to cost upwards of $400 billion, according to Sean Bielat at the time it was passed. Bielat is presently the Republican candidate attempting to defeat Frank in his re-election bid this November.”

In my opinion, the regulators and executive branch people were empowered by Frank and his friends in this bill to do whatever they wanted, including the showering of government benefits on financial firms who make the right political contributions.

Members of Congress have turned over law making or the writing of regulations for this bill __to the executive branch officials: Treasury Secretary and the Federal Reserve. And everybody says we’re going to end “to big to fail” No it’s just the opposite. The bill created a permanent new bailout authority that undermines our bankruptcy system and rule of law.

And the new bureau of Consumer Financial Protection is empowered to regulate the financial transactions of any business including motor cycle manufacturers, retailers, car dealers and even coffee shops.

Republican Bob Coker of Tennessee, a staunch opponent of the creation of a Consumer Agency, said at the time the position of consumer director would create an all too powerful czar.

In fact there are those that said Elizabeth Warren, whom Barney Frank recommended recently to become the new director, according to Spillane’s account, could become “the czar of czars”, and she won’t even be required to be confirmed by the Congress.

The Financial Reform Bill was written by leftists who clearly didn’t understand the importance that risk plays in the establishment of successful enterprises, the invention of products and services, and the efficiency of markets. Nor did they understand the importance that the profit incentive had on creating the greatest economic superpower the world has ever known.

And they certainly didn’t understand that it was none of their business how much talented business executives who were hired to make a profit by the owners of a business earn in terms of salary and bonus compensation.

But perhaps if Barney Frank had an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and had actually spent some time in the private sector the way his political opponent Sean Bielat has, he wouldn’t have drafted such a foolish and destructive piece of legislation, which is now the law of the land. By the way “reform”, is simply the new code word for “government takeover” of a particular segment of the economy or society, like “health care reform.”

The only “reform” I’m interested in at the moment, however, is the kind that will allow Republicans to “take over” the Congress on November 2, 2010. Massachusetts voters can help in this endeavor which will be attempted by angry and frightened voters all over the country on that historic day whose main reason for doing so will be to end the tyranny being imposed on the entire nation by the Obama administration and their Congressional allies, Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid. Please vote for Sean Bielat as the next Congressman from the Massachusetts 4th Congressional District.

Today, Sean Bielat, candidate for Massachusetts' Fourth Congressional District, released the details of a survey that shows support for Barney Frank in the district has dipped below 50% in the head-to-head contest with Bielat. According to the poll, Frank leads Bielat by just ten points, with 48% favoring Frank and 38% supporting Bielat. Those who are undecided make up 13% of the poll. Notably, Independents support Bielat over Frank by the wide margin of 51% to 34%.
"People are sick and tired of Washington and career politicians. That's why Barney Frank's poll numbers are dropping like a rock and why he's taking desperate measures like bringing in Bill Clinton to campaign for him," said Bielat responding to the poll results. "National support is snowballing and our campaign and supporters are more enthusiastic than ever. It shows what we've known all along: we are on track to replace an entrenched politician who's been part of the problem for years."

The survey, conducted for Bielat's campaign by the firm OnMessage, polled 400 likely voters in Massachusetts' Fourth Congressional District after the September 14 primary election. The margin of error is +/-4.9%.

While Frank's support has dwindled overall, it is rapidly eroding with Independent voters. In a similar poll conducted in late July by OnMessage, Frank's overall support stood four points higher and he had a 44% to 37% advantage over Bielat with Independents. In less than two months, Frank's support from Independents has dramatically reversed.

With Congressional disapproval at an all-time high, and new reports swirling about Frank's involvement in the OneUnited Bank scandal, support for the perennial Congressman is expected to continue its downward slide.
Wes Anderson of OnMessage concludes in his polling memo, "With the proper funding and ability to compete with Frank for the last four weeks of the election, Massachusetts 4 could provide the upset story of the 2010 midterm elections."

Recently I stumbled upon a conservative radio talk show host from Houston, Texas named Michael Berry who was filling in for Mark Levin, who gave an excellent review of the first 20 months of the Obama administration. In case you're starting to think that many of the things that have transpired in Washington since the Democrats regained control of the Congress and the White House were simply part of a bad dream you were having, these two videos will dispel that notion quickly.

It is very easy to forget some of the strange anti/U.S behavior, statements, and policies that emanated from the enclaves of our government since the Obama "regime" began taking the whole country hostage in 2009 and actually before that when the Democrat Party took over the Congress and a raving lunatic from Massachusetts named Barney Frank (D) took over the House Financial Services Committee, and decided to give everybody a free house. We may need a reminder in light of the blatant denials, lies, and historical revisions that are now being made by Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barney Frank, and their allies in the mainstream media that are now working overtime with the November elections fast approaching and the Democrats in deep trouble.

So Mr Berry, who calls himself the "Czar of Texas Radio" has put together a wonderful compilation of events that are sure to jog our collective memories and send us out knocking on doors and up to the roof tops to proclaim boldly to all within listening distance the importance of voting against their Congressman (or woman) or Senator if they are Democrats and voting for their Republican opponents this November.

It’s time for all voters on Election Day to consider the ideology of a candidate when casting their vote. With a large independent constituency in Massachusetts for example, it’s not uncommon to hear a voter say "I vote for a candidate and not a political party." Well whoopy-do! That sure sounds nice doesn't it? In fact it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. But what does it mean?

Does it mean that in the case of our representative in the Massachusetts Fourth Congressional District, Barney Frank, the voters have decided to ignore the fact he has been joined at the hip with the Obama Administration and their radical anti/U.S. agenda? Does it mean that they supported the effort to destroy the greatest health care system in the world? Does it mean that with so many Senior Citizens in his constituency depending on Medicare, they ignored the fact he was actively involved in efforts to reduce funding for medicare? Is that what it means?

Does it mean that they were in favor of granting terrorists who engaged in acts of war against the United States the same rights that a US citizen would get who committed a crime? Or that, like Barney and his friends, they were also in favor of allowing a suspected terrorist to be read his rights and be given an attorney before he had been interrogated fully?

Does it mean they fully supported the return of the era of big government and the administrations “achievement in running up taxpayer debt in the trillions of dollars? Does it mean they supported the expansion of the federal government’s control over home mortgages, investment banking, and autos and energy?

You may think that your interests are being protected by Barney Frank, but are they really? If he really cared about creating opportunities for his constituents to find the American Dream the way he has, he would only support taxation that funds the constitutional legitimate functions of the Federal Government and would oppose efforts to redistribute income.

Redistribution of income does not improve anyone’s standard of living; it only ensures that everyone lives in misery and poverty. It enslaves the poorer segments of the society to an entitlement style economy and sucks the life out of those who wish to use their God given talents to improve their living conditions for themselves and their families.

It’s time for Barney Frank to step aside and give someone else a chance to stop the ongoing dismantling of our capitalistic system and the annual spending sprees that even after all the Obama tax increases will create trillion-dollar deficits through 2020, which by that time will simply be unsustainable. Yes it’s time to give someone else a chance like Republican Sean Bielat, who believes that we cannot continue to spend more money than we take in and promises to vote to continue the tax cuts, and give additional tax relief to families. He also doesn’t believe Government spending can stimulate the economy. Only a revitalized economy caused by everyone working can do that.

But before that can happen we need to get rid of those who are standing in the way right here in Massachusetts which means you’re next Barney. And the way we do that is by voting for the person who was recently selected by Republican voters in the Massachusetts 4th Congressional District Primary, Sean Bielat to restore fiscal sanity to Washington. It’s my fervent prayer that the voters of the Massachusetts 4th Congressional District will do their best for not only the best interests of this region but for the sake of the entire country to vote Barney Frank out of office in the November, 2010 elections. As someone who served my country for 26 years, I am not afraid to speak in its defense against those who are trying to transform the Country I love into a European style Socialist Regime where the government controls every aspect of our lives. I also resent the role my Congressional District is playing in leading us down the path of destruction by allowing Barney Frank to maintain his position of power and create financial chaos so that this present administration of thugs can swoop in and gain even more control over us and the entire nation. If you think this is extreme rhetoric, I encourage you to consider Barney’s words himself when he spoke of the government becoming the Landlord which is completely at odds with the Constitution’s provision for private property rights. Therefore it’s time for us to face up to the fact this congressional district is holding the entire country hostage and in many ways shares much of the blame for the present recession we’re in, which the former head of the Federal Reserve, Alan Greenspan, recently put squarely on the shoulders of those who created the Sub Prime Mortgage Fiasco, of which Barney Frank and Senator Chris Dodd were the primary architects, along with Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter.

In closing I just want to say: “Wake up people and save the country and future generations from the same depressing conditions that have overtaken Europe in the name of “fairness”, which simply means we’ll all have a chance to be miserable instead of free to be prosperous. However, those opportunities may soon be nonexistent for the majority of Americans if the present trend continues. Please don’t let that happen. I accept the fact that the voters have spoken although I am somewhat shocked as to how few Republican voters there actually were there. (19,504 - Republican and 50, 186 - Democrat) The Democrats received 72% of the total number of votes while the Republicans received only 28% and Barney Frank really didn't wage anything that even remotely resembled a campaign against Rachel Brown other than calling her a dining room table at a town meeting in Dartmouth MA last summer and having a closed debate on Franks turf in Newton, Ma in the final days of the campaign. His war chest is loaded with lots of cash from the banks that he deals with as Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, so it’s obvious the Republicans have there work cut out for them here in the Massachusetts 4th Congressional District this November.

Bielat is sure to get plenty of financial assistance from all over the country as well as national media help, but there are just too many damn democrats who love Barney Frank in New Bedford and throughout the District as well.

Labor Day is September 6th. It began as a celebration of the labor movement in America, and then was voted as a National Holiday in honor of workers by Congress on June 28, 1894. Now it's just another holiday celebrating the end of summer.

Burdened with high taxation and suffocating regulation, our successful capitalist model is purposely being destroyed by the Obama administration with the help of Congressmen like Barney Frank through the systematic elimination of the traditional ideals of individualism, hard work, opportunity and success.

Today, Congressmen like Barney Frank see the laborer not as an individual with hopes and dreams for a better life for himself and his children, but as a vote in exchange for empty promises that will keep him employed on the taxpayers' dime. "Amber's Story" which ran on Lifetime on Thursday evening is a tragic one. Amber Hagerman was 9 years old when she was abducted and later found murdered in Arlington Texas in 1996. The "Amber Alert" Law is a government-run tracking system named after Amber Hagerman that targets child kidnappers, molesters, and pornographers, and provides matching grants to states and communities for equipment and training for the network which distributes information about kidnapped children and their abductors quickly, through radio and television broadcasts and electronic highway signs.
"Amber Alert" is responsible for the safe return of thirteen children in Massachusetts alone. Our children are our future, and our duty as citizens and elected representatives, is to put into place legislation that aids in keeping them safe.
Barney Frank voted against the "Amber Alert" Bill on April 10, 2003. He was not only the only member of the Massachusetts Delegation to do so, but he was only one of 25 congressmen out of 435 to vote against it. The vote was 400-25 in the House, and 98-0 in the Senate. He said at the time, that he voted against it because of Republican amendments to the bill.
He said that he couldn't support such stringent proposals from Republicans because "the penalties were too severe for child pornographers and pedophiles." Too severe!
Barney Frank has a history of voting against the values and priorities of the people in the 4th Congressional District, and he's severely out of touch with family values by voting in a way that would put all of our children at risk.
I can promise the citizens of the Massachusetts 4th Congressional District, that, if elected, I will work toward protecting the most vulnerable citizens of the Commonwealth - our children.

I trust that you and your family had an enjoyable vacation in the historic state of Massachusetts. I wish to congratulate you on winning the first of three wars that your administration is fighting. You have won your bureaucratic and regulatory war against the family fisherman. Some have already been forced out of business, and unrealistic catch limits will sink many more.
I recommend a truce, the immediate dismissal of the environmental extremist Jane Lubchenco, head of NOAA, a seat at the table and recognition of the expertise of the fisherman, and returning our great country to limited government where we reward hard work and success rather than warring against it.

Under the direction of Dr. Jane Lubchenco, former board member of the Environmental Defense Fund, now the head of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration for the Obama Administration (NOAA), the New Bedford fishing industry is on the verge of being destroyed. The Obama/Lubchenco "Fish Tale" is stinking up the industry, and as usual, the fish rots from the head down. While the industry is sinking, this administration is saying "Let them eat fish."
Already suffering from catch limits, high taxes and high insurance premiums, middle class family fishermen in the 4th Congressional District are struggling to earn a living here because of the Obama administration's oppressive and unprecedented intrusion into their livelihood. Now NOAA wants to put a moratorium on lobstering. These new fishing regulations fly in the face of traditional American work ethics that include self-reliance, independence and opportunity which all lead to prosperity.
I warned of the death blow aimed at our fishing industry when Lubchenco was confirmed by the Senate in March of 2009. Her "spatial planning techniques", including smaller allocations, big-brother reporting, electronic tracking, and putting government observers on board fishing vessels, will devastate struggling family fishermen. The only beneficiaries of these misguided policies will be large foreign and domestic corporations.
With a $4 billion budget and 12,800 government employees, Lubchenco's interests, which mirror Obama's, lie in consolidating our fishing industry under the management system of "catch shares" - the buying, selling or trading for catching rights, or "catch credits". Unsurprisingly, this is the same type of system that's used in the Democrats' Cap & Trade scheme. They're both scams intended to enhance government revenues and exert more government control. This is just plain un-American!
Lubchenco is leading the direction of commerce on our waters by regulating the fishing industry through her tunnel vision of environmentalism. Her vision for the future? A more "consolidated" fishing fleet managed by the government with oceans that are more "ecologically diverse... and more reflective of society's values". In other words, social engineering... for fish, at the expense of an industry which has been the life blood for family fishermen for hundreds of years.
Fishing is a billion dollar industry in New Bedford. New Bedford also has one of the highest unemployment rates in New England. This administration's oppressive-style intrusion is going to turn New Bedford into a ghost town if the people don't take back control of their own government and this great country.
Fishermen across the region are holding a boat protest just outside Vineyard Haven harbor today because they're rightly angered by the fact that they don't even have a seat at the table for deciding their own industry's interests. Their voices must be heard.
This is just more evidence that the current administration and Congress are out of touch with the average working man. Barney Frank, cheerleader for bigger government, talks a good game when it comes to helping fishermen, but actions speak louder than words. Family fishermen need action now!
I have been a strong advocate for family fishermen and have spoken out on this vital issue many times. The first maxim of law is that it should do no harm. We don't need or want incompetent bureaucrats or government-sponsored corporations running the fishing industry.

"Refudiating" Sarah Palin Shows Poor Taste

I’ve always felt that skill at articulating a persons thoughts meant more to members of the media who make their living using their verbal skills than it does to the rest of us who are usually more concerned with what people say than they are with how they say it.

I remember when Dan Quayle was ridiculed by the national media for correcting a student's correct spelling of "potato" to "potatoe" at an elementary school spelling bee in Tiverton, New Jersey in 1992. He later wrote in his memoirs that it was spelled that way on the card the school had given him and though he questioned the spelling to himself, he decided to trust the materials he had been given. The mistake propelled the national media into a frenzy as they had been trying to prove he was an intellectual lightweight since he was nominated for the position of Vice President at the Republican National Convention in New Orleans in 1988.

It wasn’t long before his name became a household joke throughout the land even though he iterated many common sense opinions such as his infamous Murphy Brown statement on his preference for families with parents who are married to each other over single parent families. (That was before the topic of gay marriage was even part of the popular lexicon.) Candice Bergen, the actress who starred as a single mother in Murphy Brown, objected to his assessment at first but later changed her mind and said he had been right. He also scored points when he lashed out against lawyers and America’s litigious culture

Moving on to a real honest to goodness dummy... When Al Gore became Vice President it became very clear to most people outside of the media elite that this guy was an empty suit. We knew he didn’t set any academic worlds on fire and was in fact dropped from Harvard. He also once remarked that he had invented the Internet. But the media didn’t see it that way I think because he appeared to be articulate and was referred to as a policy wonk when he should have been referred to as a policy dope.

I’ll never forget watching President Clinton and Gore on C-span enter Monticello, Thomas Jefferson’s home in Virginia and hearing Gore ask the guide who the three busts at the entrance of the mansion portrayed. And the gentleman slowly replied as though he was not expecting the question…”well that’s George Washington and that’s Benjamin Franklin” at which point an embarrassed Bill Clinton began walking away. But my personal favorite Algorism is that “a zebra does not change its spots”.

Yet such incidents went right over the heads of the media and instead they decided collectively they would portray George W Bush as the dumb one simply because he was a conservative. So when he said “nuclur” instead of “nuclear” and their personal favorite…”misunderestimate”, he fell into their hands and the template was set. Bush was dumb and that’s all there was to it. And it didn’t matter to them that he held a history degree from Yale; an MBA from Harvard; and was known to read a book a week in a friendly competition with his friend Karl Rove who shared his love and skill for reading. Yet as far as the media was concerned he was dumber than dumb. I mean he had to be, right? He believed in God, spoke with a southern accent, and admitted to being a conservative Republican, like another dummy that once resided in the White House whom the powers to be in the media didn’t consider very intelligent either, Ronald Reagan.

And now we come to Sarah Palin who is the daughter of a dedicated educator and athletic coach who moved his family to Alaska so they would appreciate the beauty and wonders of nature and the Great Outdoors. She also was the daughter of a librarian who developed a lifelong love for reading before she could barely walk, and went on to graduate from the University of Idaho with a degree in journalism and a passion for writing. Before long, however, she discovered she had a gift for leadership and problem solving as a small town mayor and later as governor of American’s largest state.

I have no doubt if she were a liberal , the media would have embraced her openly, but unfortunately for her she was a Conservative Republican, an evangelical Christian, and worse than that a supporter of the hated Tea Party movement,

So when she said “refudiate” instead of “repudiate” recently during a live interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News, the media started laughing until it hurt, totally ignoring the substance of her commentary about the construction of a mosque near ground zero in New York which she considered a deplorable act in light of what has transpired there.

I couldn't agree with her more, despite commentary from Muslim clerics responding to criticism from the families of many of the 9/11 victims that it will bring people together. Are you kidding me? It’s just the Muslim community rubbing 9/11 into the faces of the “infidels” as they have been doing for centuries. During an earlier period in history, Muslims built one of the most sacred places in all of Islam, the Dome of the Rock, on top of the old Jewish Temple in Jerusalem while the Jews had been driven out of the land and we’re living in exile, so it’s not like they haven’t done something like this before.

Despite the substantive nature of her comments, the writers of propaganda at the former mainstream news outlets and the late night comedians have been having a field day “refudiating Sarah” and ignoring the abominable nature of the plans they are making for that sacred area of turf in the heart of Manhattan where two of the most magnificent buildings in the history of the world once stood and 3, 000 innocent civilians were killed by radical Islamic terrorists on September 11, 2001.

Instead of focusing on how much sense her commentary made and the bizarre nature of the proposed project, the mainstream media, which doesn’t really exist anymore, has decided to focus on the former Governor of Alaska mispronouncing a single word during a live television interview as can be seen in the following video, to let us all know once again that they believe she is ….well, dumb, as if we didn’t know they felt that way already.

Let the Great National Debate Begin

This past week the nation's and the state of Massachusetts's latest Senator Scott Brown voted “yes” on a financial reform bill that Rush Limbaugh said no conservative anywhere would vote yes for causing much discussion and a sense of grave concern for the future as Obama expects to send even more radical legislation through before the next congressional term begins. Additionally White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs revealed this week that the administration is expecting that the Republicans will regain control of the House at the very least, which almost caused an insurrection in the House against the Administration and Gibbs.

Earl Sholley, Republican candidate for Congress from the Massachusetts 4th Congressional District said that he wasn’t surprised by the Brown vote which brought to mind the first conversation I had with Sholley at the Shawmut Diner in New Bedford, MA this past February in which he pointed out that Scott Brown was really an independent and had a history in the Massachusetts State Senate of voting with Democrats regularly, which explained many of the complements from former colleagues he received after his stunning victory in the Massachusetts special election last January. At the time it occurred to me that Sholley was giving me some inside knowledge, like a tip for a gambling option that would be discovered the first time Brown voted on a piece of legislation that Republicans largely abhorred, which he was confident would occur soon.

And this week Sholley’s prediction came true when Brown became the third member of a trio including Maine Republican Senators Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins that not only cleared the way for a final vote of the Dodd/Frank Financial Reform Bill but established him as a definite power player on Capitol Hill. It’s good to know that if Sholley is successful in defeating Congressman Frank, he will be wise and shrewd enough to understand the difference between the sometimes difficult political path of adhering to conservative values in Massachusetts and defecting to the easier, wider road traveled by so many Republican in Name Only politicians over the years like Arlen Specter, Olympia Snow, Susan Collins and John McCain. We can only pray that Scot Brown’s legacy doesn’t include taking this well travelled but ineffective road to real problem solving and making things worse than they already are at a time when Republicans are poised to regain control of both houses of Congress. During this prelude to the up and coming elections this November, we need them to be wise enough to understand as Limbaugh further stated in his diatribe against RINO Republicans last week that Obama is already planning to blame the new majority of Republicans in the House for everything bad that has happened up until now.

In fact it seems to me that Vice President Joe “Bite Me” Biden of General McChrystal fame may have confirmed the scheme Sunday on the ABC News program “This Week’ when he vowed that Barack Obama’s governing party will “shock the heck out of everybody”. He went on to say that he believed the Obama administration would get credit from voters for helping guide the economy out of recession and passing key legislation on health care and financial reform.

Of course what we’re about to see is a massive revisionist campaign on Obama’s first two years in office that will try to convince us that up is down and down is up, and of course the Republicans are still the party of no and will be even more obstinate than ever if they regain control of the House and do nothing but take up oxygen.

So, I ask you, how will Brown and the other RINO's, or "Independents" if you prefer be able to criticize Obama and Democrats for passing very bad Financial "Reform" legislation that omitted dealing with the thorny Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac dilemma as well as adding up to 400 billion to the deficit when he voted for it himself. His instincts of course will be to defend his decision. And that's the problem as I see it because Republicans need to be united against Obama’s policies at this time and shout from the highest mountain top during the remainder of the year and during the next session prior to the 2012 elections how harmful for the country they have been. Limbaugh said we can not simply assume that the American people will figure out Obama has been in office long enough to be responsible for the sad state of affairs the country is in even though it will be tempting to do so for a party that has historically displayed a tendency to avoid unpleasant confrontations.

And he went on to say that we have a great opportunity to contrast conservatism with Obama’s policies and his extreme radical leftist ideology. No matter what you want to call this leftist ideology…Marxism…Socialism…Liberalism…Statism; there’s never been a greater chance to draw a contrast. But we can’t let these so called moderates like Scot Brown, Olympia Snow, or Susan Collins take control of the message or the agenda or it will be all over. If those people gain control, and it leads to the selection of a Presidential nominee, like Scott Brown himself perhaps, who wants to go moderate-center-of –the –road, then it’s all over.

Therefore it seems to me that the time for preparing future members of congress and incumbents for this soon-to-come period in which the President of the United States stops blaming George Bush for his problems and begins blaming the Congress that he no longer controls is now. The campaign season presents a wonderful opportunity to educate the American people as Rush said that during Obama’s administration we have been watching the absolute purposeful destruction of capitalism and the American private sector. We’ve never seen it happen like this and it’s happening all around us, and its Obama’s policies that are to blame for it. And these candidates and incumbents must have the courage to lay it on the line with their opponents, not for the purpose of winning an election but for the purpose of communicating this vital message to the American people for the good of the country i.e.to save the country from total destruction. So attention all political candidates running for office…let the debates and a great national dialogue begin! Our children’s future depends on it.

If Kagan Doesn't Believe in Inherent Rights, How is She Qualified to Serve On the Supreme Court?

Last week we witnessed a disturbing though certainly not a surprising event in our nation's capital when President Obama’s nominee for the United States Supreme Court, Elena Kagen refused to answer directly the question posed to her by Senator Tom Coburn during her Supreme Court confirmation hearings about whether or not she believed in rights that are inherent to us. Though falling short of an emphatic denial, this evasive maneuver might better be described by saying she conspicuously declined to affirm such a belief. In any event it left me feeling that Republicans must demand a filibuster so they can take the time to educate the American people as to who this woman is by allowing the Congressional staffs to thoroughly investigate the significant paper trail she has accumulated. We know they would do this if her nomination was from a Republican president. Remember Robert Bork, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, and John Roberts.

Denying natural rights and natural law during the week in which we celebrated the signing of the Declaration of Independence struck me as a distortion of the deeply held beliefs of the signers of this sacred document, which clearly states “we are endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights, including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It also strikes me as a betrayal of their intentions which obviously was that they and succeeding generations would be able to live in the freedom our creator intended for us, which has been the rallying cry of man since the dawn of time, though history shows that most have walked the earth as slaves or subjects of an oligarchy. In fact, recently we saw photo evidence of an early draft of the Declaration of Independence in which the word “subjects” was crossed out and replaced with “citizens”. .

The founding fathers never intended for the Constitution to be the source of citizen's rights. Our rights are derived from our very existence as human beings created in the image of God,not from the government or even the Constitution. Rather, one of the original specific purposes of the Constitution was to protect those "unalienable rights" from an over reaching tyrannical government. The basic rights of the individual can never be abrogated for the sake of the majority or security threats from a rebellious and angry populous, which characterizes the mindset of the statist as well as every tyrant that has ever lived, which is why the Bill of Rights was inserted in the first place as an additional safeguard. Furthermore the historical record shows that the Constitution would not have been ratified with out the inclusion of these protections against a repressive government which they had learned firsthand that one should always be on guard against even with weapons in hand as shown in the Second Amendment which granted the Right to Bear Arms, point blank, with no strings attached and please don’t bring up militias because we're all part of a citizen's militia, at least we're suppose to be.

When Elena Kagen stated to Senator Tom Coburn “I don’t have a view of what are natural rights independent of the Constitution” she revealed the fundamental misunderstanding quite often found on the left and amongst progressives concerning the relationship between the Constitution and its’ citizens. The Constitution is not the source of our rights. Our rights preceded the Constitution.

Although they granted certain powers and rights to the Federal government in areas such as National Defense and coining money etc they were explicit in enshrining the primacy of individual rights in the 9th amendment which states “The enumeration in the Constitution of certain rights shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people”, and in the 10th Amendment demonstrating that the federal government was never intended to become the monstrous regulatory beast it is today by saying: “The powers not delegated to the United States Constitution, nor prohibited by the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or the people"

Later she watered down her statement somewhat when she said “I’m not saying I do not believe there are rights pre-existing The Constitution and the laws, but my job as a Justice is to enforce the Constitution and the laws” which sounds close but does not go as far as saying she believes “unalienable rights” exist, which is what makes the Constitution special. The citizens are the original author and have rights which are inherent and cannot be ignored while the state serves the people and not the other way around. If Elena Kagen does not believe in this most basic element of the Constitution, then how is this nominee who has never served as a judge qualified to determine whether something is Constitutional or not from the highest court of the land.

Obama Had to Fire McChrystal, Right?

Now that this story is about to enter its third day, the overwhelming response on talk radio and on TV from what I can tell and I haven’t been following it every second is that Obama did the right thing in firing General McChrystal. The media is going overboard in commending him for his selection of General Petraeus even though they and their Democrat allies in Congress treated him with utter disdain when he introduced his surge plan for turning the War in Iraq into a decisive victory for the US as well as George W Bush, a fact that was never acknowledged by the liberal establishment and never will be I suspect, although the White House buffoon in residence, Joe Biden, has not been shy about claiming it as a great victory for Obama.

In fact all this praise being heaped on Petraeus in light of their previous disgusting behavior like the General Betray Us article that greeted General Petraeus when he reported to Washington to brief Congress on the Surge Plan was making me nauseous yesterday as former Congressional critics like Nancy Pelosi and liberal media pundits were all reciting the same White House Talking Points as acknowledged on MSNBC while trying to keep a straight face.

In actuality I liked the portrayal the writer gave of McCrystal in the Rolling Stone Article. which portrays a General with a common man touch who prefers hamburgers over fillet Mignon, beer over champagne, but above all doesn't sweat the little things like most Generals and Admirals who made a career of impressing their bosses usually do, and boy did he prove it. And maybe that is not proper behavior for a a General but it sure is refreshing.

I spent 26 years in the Navy and because I was usually attached to the Admiral's staff in my line of work I understand the importance of respecting the civilian leadership that all Military personnel come under through the chain of command. And though I was never privy to the kind of overt disrespect shown the Commander and Chief and other officials, as a Senior Chief Petty Officer, by Senior Staff Officers, I’m sure it could be heard in private conversations in rare moments of candor amongst themselves perhaps after a couple of drinks, but never in the presence of an outsider, particularly a member of the press from a publication that could be expected to be hostile to the Military.

So when the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mullens, says he was shocked and feeling physically ill after reading this article, I don't think he was exaggerating as it was extraordinary to read about this type of unguarded behavior coming from a Four Star General and his staff running a war time command for crying out loud and not the local Army Recruiting office.

But having said that, maybe the actions of Obama and State Department officials should also be looked at closer, which so far is not being done at least not in the mainstream media from what I can tell.

Although I may still be in the minority, I really don't believe this incident was anything close to what General MacArthur was discussing publicly when he spoke of invading China during the Korean War in clear defiance of President Truman’s orders and long discussed policy during face to face meetings with MacArthur himself.

If Obama was a wise leader which he has proven over and over again recently that he clearly is not, he would have taken McChrystal to the Woodshed and forced him to make a humiliating public apology that would ring loud and clear the way Gen George S Patton was forced to after the infamous slapping incident in Sicily during World War II. And if they were really smart they might even have devised a plan of deception by pretending that McChrystal had fallen in disfavor as a way of throwing a curve to the Taliban the way the Allies did when they recalled Patton to England and made an effort to convince Hitler through false radio messages about a phony troop buildup complete with cardboard airplanes that Patton was preparing to attack from Calais, which caught the Germans by surprise in Normandy.

But here I go again expecting that the President of the United States would have a better understanding of U.S. history than he does about the fifty seven states of the Islamic world which he probably had ingrained in his mind while living in Pakistan as an impressionable "all American" boy so he sometimes gets that confused with the number of U.S. States which of course is fifty, but hey...doesn't everybody?

At least during World War II they didn’t let ruffled feelings and egos as a rule, get in the way of decision making until the War was over, when they finally did give Patton his walking papers after comparing the Nazis to the Republican Party and threatening to invade Russia (picky...picky).
But that type of understanding and maturity would be a little too much to expect from this President while he is drowning in oil and horrendous approval ratings. So he really had no other choice but to say "Sorry McChrystal old boy, you're out and "Betray US", I mean Petraeus is in. Now where are my golf clubs and those funny looking shorts that Michelle picked out for me?

The Run Away General Didn't Run Away, He Was Fired

Considering how much criticism Obama has received concerning his leadership in almost every aspect of his Presidency, you knew he would have to fire Gen Stanley McChrystal in hopes of turning that image around. And after serving 26 years in the US Navy I understand the importance of establishing respect amongst military personnel for our country’s elected civilian leadership. I don’t believe, however that McChrystal needed to be fired from his position at this critical time in the War in Afganistan unless there was evidence he did not support the Presidents policy, and aside from some grumbling at the beginning of his relationship with Obama it seems to me he has been supporting him.

I read the Rolling Stone article and the most serious revelations are the perception from McChrystal's staff of incompetence and ineptitude with a number of State Department officials along with special envoy Richard Holbrook, the national Security Advisor-General Jones who they portrayed as a clown, and Vice President Biden who everyone knows is a complete buffoon.

But McChrystal comes across as a soldier's soldier completely dedicated and qualified for the job. By the way General Petraeus who was McCrystal’s Boss as head of the Central command has actually been demoted to relieve him, so the big question it seems to me at the moment is who is going to take his place at the Central Command unless he is going to wear two hats as they say in Military parlance which I wouldn't think would be likely. Although I am not a fan of Rolling Stone Magazine I thought the Run Away General was an excellent article, even if his staff should have been taken to the woodshed for letting him have axis to the General and themselves like that, as soon as the General found out about the plan. Perhaps that is where the real story lies and how that ever came to pass and if someone had it in for McChrystal.

It's Time for Mass Voters to Take On Environmental Wacko Groups by voting Barney Frank Out

It has been very interesting as well as sad to observe how the burden of blame has been assigned to British Petroleum (BP) for the Gulf Oil Spill Disaster, as it should, without hardly any mention of the Environmental Community which pressured their allies in the Democrat Party to ban shallow water drilling and replaced it with a new policy of deep water drilling during the Clinton years. Certainly these environmental wacko groups had a large role in this disaster just as they have had in the systematic elimination of the New England Fishing Industry through government over-regulation by global warming loons and pseudo scientists like Jane Lubchenko of NOAA who have hijacked the Magnusson Stevens Act of 1976 and have turned it into something it was never intended to be ….a nightmare for New England Fishermen. And no one has waved his arms more and yelled louder in “apparent outrage” at the audacity of the environmental community than Congressional Democrats including Barney Frank from the 4th District , despite the fact he is as responsible for their ascension to power as much as any sitting political leader.

In fact, recently Frank and his gang of enviro-statist allies in Congress including the powerful speaker of the House and leader of the environmental movement in Congress, Nancy Pelosi celebrated the anniversary of the Pelosi Amendment which gave unprecedented regulatory powers to the World Bank which is the same anti-American World Bank that also shut down Georges Bank in large part to New England Fishermen many years ago. This tyrannical banking power grab was also given to regional multilateral development banks to review the potential environmental impacts of development projects for which they provide funding and to make environmental assessments. There can be no mistake about the look of happiness and ecstasy on Franks face in the photo shown with the article entitled NGO Community Celebrates 20th Anniversary of the Pelosi Amendment
As chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, Congressman Frank is not only a powerful overseer of the financial industry but has become a powerful environmental regulator over the private sector, which is something the fishing industry might consider before they call him for assistance again in their fight against the tyranny being imposed by the environmental community which is joined at the hip with the Democrat party and that is a fact that you cannot deny, no matter how many “We love Barney” rallies the leaders of the New England Fishing Industry instigate.

Now you can recite the entire history of Magnusson Stevens and tell me all about efforts Barney Frank has made to amend the legislation and his battles with the NOAA and the National Marine Fisheries Service, which would give the appearance that he has really fought for the industry, but he hasn’t once made the simple but potent argument as Earl Sholley, candidate for Congress from the 4th District has that you should let family Fishermen run their own businesses with only limited Government control, and of course that has no hope of ever happening under the present Democratic controlled Congress which is why it is imperative to vote Frank and the Democrats out of the next Congress because the Democrat party will never divorce themselves from the Environmental Wacko community and green groups. It’s time for a clean sweep of Congress and a fresh start for small businessmen everywhere by dumping the environmentalist wacko’s and their anti-capitlalist and development policies for good. The survival of the nation’s economy depends on it.

Even casual political observers understand Frank has made a reputation as a devout supporter of pro-environmental legislation, normally taking the opposite view of Republicans opposed to government intervention in the free market

Environmental groups like the League of Conservation Voters, Defenders of Wildlife, the Wilderness Coalition, and other pro environmental organizations have consistently given Barney Frank among the “highest” pro environmental vote ratings. And now that the Global Warming community has taken over the Environmental community there is a new type of tyrant like Jane Lubchenko, the former pseudo scientist and member of the board of Directors of the Environmental Defense Fund who has waged war against the capitalistic ventures of our fishermen under the guise of concern for fish stocks. It’s imperative that Republicans begin to support Sholley and others who are not afraid to speak openly against the environmental community and their anti-capitalist ventures during the up and coming elections and if they do they will find much support from Republican campaign contributers nation-wide now as well as from Massachusetts voters in the Fall elections.

Don't Cry Over Spilt Oil Mr President

It seems to me that there are two trends regarding the gulf oil spill that are presently vying for attention among the Cable TV political punditry. One is evolving from the right side of the spectrum and focuses on fixing the problem through good old fashion American ingenuity. As we watch scientifically minded problem solvers pour oil from a test tube into a glass tank and then scoop up all the oil with either hay or some new fibrous product, which leaves the water clear and glistening and reminds me of a show I used to watch in the 1950’s called Mr. Wizard, we’re left in awe of the conclusiveness of the results and wondering only if such a process could be duplicated on a much larger scale.

This spirit of entrepreneurship and “can do “ spirit which has made this country the economic power house it has become, at least until recently, apparently has escaped President Obama, who seems intent on employing a strategy of finger pointing and inciting the left to rail against capitalism. According to Van Jones, the self proclaimed communist and founder of the radical revolutionary group “STORM”, who’s handbook can be downloaded from Glen Beck’s website, “something happened last week” when a new strategy of inciting the left to action was communicated by the President when he spoke of kicking “A”. If this was some type of coded signal for action as Beck contends apparently it was not lost on “Spike Lee” when he said it’s time to “go off”. Nor was it lost on Rosie O’Donnell who appeared to be foaming at the mouth when she spoke of seizing BP’s assets in a way that would make Stalin, Castro, and Mao proud.

If it’s true as Glen Beck implies that the left is preparing to mobilize in a way we haven’t seen since the 1960’s then the oil spill would only be a catalyst much like Vietnam was a call to action and revolution that never fully materialized although it did change the world from a culture based on Christian values to a godless culture based on liberalism and in fact paganism.

It would seem to me that such a call for waking up the “sleeping giant” or in this case the radical extremists ready to fight for their oppressed brothers, whatever the hell that means, would only come if Obama felt things were not looking chipper in the polls and primary results for the Democrat Party and their mission to maintain hold of the Congress and eventually the White House. I hope Beck and the purveyors of these type of thoughts are wrong, but how can I tell when we have a national media that is absolutely brain dead and clueless to what is going on around them. As far as they’re concerned the radical revolutionaries belong to the Tea party and look a lot like grey haired grandmothers waving American flags rather that the Code Pink witches spelled with a “b” that showed up at just about every congressional hearing during the Bush years and can mobilize at the drop of a hat or from a single message from their esteemed leader like “it’s time to kick “A”. I hope I’m wrong about this but we may find out very soon if the situation in the gulf doesn’t improve very quickly.

Responding to Another Barney Frank Supporter

I’d like to respond to another letter of disapproval that was published in the Standard times on May 18th Your View/Letters to the Editor section regarding my op-ed of May 1 entitled Republicans are not the bad guys This one was entitled Don’t criticize Frank for not running a business and was from another loyal Barney Frank supporter, named Adrian Coleman who accused me of writing a campaign ad on Earl Sholley’s behalf which was news to me, as well as to Earl, I’m sure.

He began his distorted attack by asking: “Why do people like Wholley feel that those who have dedicated their lives to serving the public should be criticized because they have not run their own business, as if that is a necessary requirement to being an elected official?”

And to that I can only reply that if Mr. Coleman has no problem with one of the main architects and powers behind the proposed Financial Reform legislation in Congress along with the President having little or no experience in Business, and in fact showing open disdain for it on many occasions, then it’s no wonder that he also seems to have no problem with them advancing a socialist agenda which is clearly designed to convert our free market economy into a Command and Control Economy with the Command and Control coming out of Washington.

Furthermore it almost sounded like Coleman was ready to sing the same old tired Liberal refrain that doesn’t work anymore, and that is to blame the whole mess on George Bush. I was even expecting to hear Dick Cheney’s name and Haliburton mentioned when he attacked oil company executives.

My point about not having the same amount of courage as Wall Street executives and entrepreneurs is it is a lot easier risking tax payers money than it is to risk your own hard earned capital like business leaders and investors must do as well as entrepreneurs including fishing boat owners in Frank’s own district who courageously lay their resources on the line each day in order to feed their families and to provide jobs in their communities. And for the life of me I can’t figure out why Coleman felt he should bring up the fact that Frank is “gay”, to say the least. Nor do I understand why he felt a need to mention that his mother was “a beloved advocate for the elderly” as I’m sure she was.

But getting back to the discussion at hand, I would like to say as someone who is a retired Senior Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy, I’m not afraid to speak out against those who are obviously intent on transforming the Country I love into a European style Socialist Regime no matter how much heat I take from those that don’t have a problem with the government controlling every aspect of our lives.

And I also resent the role my Congressional District is playing in leading us down the path towards Socialsim and keeping, as Radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh said once, "the entire country on it’s knees and held hostage", by allowing Barney Frank to maintain his position of power and create financial chaos so that this present administration of thugs can swoop in and gain even more control over us.

If you think that is extreme rhetoric, I encourage you to consider Barney’s own words when he spoke of the government becoming the Landlord which is completely at odds with the Constitution’s provision for the ownership of private property or Rahm Emanuel's assertions early on that chaos can be useful in creating opportunites to move on implementing their agenda.

And when it comes to dumping on CEO pay and bonuses of executives, whose companies have paid the Troubled Asset Relief Program money back as they have, it is none of the government’s business, it’s none of Frank’s business, and it’s none of Coleman’s business whether we’re talking 1.5 million, 1.5 thousand, or 1.5 cents. This is still the United States of America, and everyone still has the right as well as the responsibility to develop their own God given talents and pursue their dreams without interference from a king, ruthless dictator, or a bunch of social planners and goons in Washington.

The Gulf Oil Spill: From 1980 – 1982 I was stationed in New Orleans as part of Navy Band New Orleans which was located on the West Bank of the Mississippi River where most of the oil refining industry was located. I belonged to a 3000 + member church that attracted many executives, engineers, geologists, and other very smart people who worked for some of the big oil companies. There were also roughnecks and blue collar Christians that worked the rigs and with the number of people coming and going all the time, it made for a very exciting church.

I only say that because if you live somewhere that is considering off shore drilling, you should not fear the effects bringing in a new industry will have on your community, which brings us to the recent oil spill disaster. I find it very interesting that just when the Obama Administration had decided to allow off shore drilling, one of the new state of the art rigs has an explosion. As Artie Johnson of the Old Laugh In show would say, “Very Interesting”.

Perhaps if they had allowed drilling in a more remote location like say….Oh I don’t know…lets say…Uhm….Alaska under very controlled and regulated conditions where they have learned some hard lessons about ecological disasters during the Exxon Valdez oil spill, our gulf coastline and fish and wildlife preserves would have been spared the coming nightmare. Thank you very much environmental whackos and the Democrat party as a whole for years of preventing energy exploration in Alaska, while officials like former Governor Sarah Palin have been pleading with us to become as pro development as they are.

So far, however the disaster doesn’t seem to have changed public opinion as 80% in a recent poll thought we should continue drilling which shows the waning influence of the mainstream media these days. Standby, however, for crocodile tears and traumatizing photos of the Gulf Shoreline and wildlife as this debate begins to reach fever pitch in the coming months.

The heartbreaking tragedy, however, doesn’t change the fact that we still need energy and it is better to extract it from our own natural resources wherever it is found, rather than purchasing it from countries that are not only hostile to us and can use it as a weapon against us, but also do not have the oversight we have. In fact, I'm actually starting to think of drilling as a Patriotic duty, as important as paying necessary taxes and serving in the Military when duty calls, and I may have more to say about that in the future. Getting Lectured on "Financial Reform" and "Risk Taking" by Socialists

Down here on the Massachusetts South Coast and in the 4th Congressional District I’m a little tired of getting lectured on the subject of “financial reform” and “risk taking” by socialists. I mean when was the last time either President Obama or Barney Frank ran their own business like the strongest Conservative candidate running against Barney Frank, Earl Sholley and the hundreds of Fishing Boat owners in the largest city of the District, New Bedford, MA have. And when was the last time they risked their own capital like Earl Sholley and these same Fishing Boat employers have, yet they continue to vote for him and support him even though he knows nothing about the courage it takes to do what they do, simply because he is a Democrat big-mouth who goes through the motions and pretends like he’s fighting for them in public when it was the government and environmental community, that completely destroyed their industry during his thirty year reign.

And if we’re going to be discussing the subject of risk all you have to do is read Obama’s speech to the Wall street and Investor community on Friday and you’ll see that Obama clearly doesn’t understand the importance that risk plays in the establishment of successful enterprises, the invention of products and services and the efficiency of markets. And he also made it clear that he had no business criticizing the amount that is paid to CEOs in the form of salary and bonus compensation for executives who’s companies have paid the Tarp money back as they have. Did you get that? They’ve paid the money back. (Remember I’m talking about Wall St firms not General Motors here)

And it is none of Barney Frank’s business what they make either if any more banking executives should come before his committee in the future. On the subject of good guys vs bad guys….we find the Obama regime and their flunkies in the Congress and the mainstream media working hard to portray Wall Street Executives and the Republicans as the "bad guys", and these Democrat shysters like Barney Frank and Chris Dodd as the "good guys" when it comes to the subject of “Financial Reform”. Reform by the way is the new Socialist code-word for government takeover of a particular segment of the economy or society, like "Health Care Reform". It seems that Up is down and Down is Up these days. God help us.

There is a big difference between hate and righteous anger

There is no question that the passage of the Health Care Bill last weekend has aroused genuine anger from Tea Party activists and all freedom loving Americans whether they identify with a particular political party or not.And from what I’ve seen it’s the kind of anger that arises out of people’s hearts when something or someone they love is unjustly disparaged,disrespected or harmed in some way i.e. righteous anger. In this case that which has been disparaged is the Constitution and the country we all love, the United States of America. It is motivated by love of Country not hatred of freedom loving Americans,Conservatives and Christians the way the proponents of genuine hate in the mainstream media and leftwing blogosphere are comparing tea party types with any wacko who has committed violence against political opponents in the past like Tim McVay did against the Clinton Administration or disagrees with the policies of their present leader …the enlightened one…Barack Hussein Obama.

In Christianity run of the mill anger is considered a sin and one of the fruits of the flesh that characterize ungodly behavior. When Jesus walked into the Temple and saw the money changers carrying on unscrupulous business practices for a profit in the holiest place in all of Israel, the temple in Jerusalem, he immediately became smitten with anger of a righteous nature and kicked over the tables of the moneychangers, driving the unscrupulous swindlers away.

It’s the mother lion protecting her cubs or human parents defending their children. Or in this case the Son of God defending His Father’s House of Worship. In my opinion and it's only my opinion, I think it could also be average folks outraged at the way the wishes of the vast majority of Americans who have opposed the Government takeover of our Health Care system have been blatantly ignored in the most disrespectful way imaginable which certainly came as no surprise.

For they were ignored at town hall meetings; They were ignored at Tea Party rallies and outside of the Capitol Building on more than one occasion; and their phone calls, emails, and snail mail was also ignored over and over again. They pushed it through on the Christian Sabbath day or what is known as the “Lord’s Day” in most Christian fellowhips and literally shoved it down our throats. During the aftermath they have gloated and slapped each other on the back and declared victory even though they didn’t have one vote from the opposition party and circumvented the traditional 60 vote margin needed in the Senate by using a process not designed for a bill of this magnitude. And the reaction from the majority of Americans has been outrage. It’s been so bad democrats have been forced to make up accounts of threats so they can appear to be victims rather than the reason behind the anger which is much more than your run of the mill anger…it’s righteous anger. And now Democrats are shaking in their boots because they know they have stirred up anger in the depths of our souls by force feeding us a piece of legislation that we told them we did not want in no uncertain terms.

And now their wondering why the people they kicked in the face are rising up with a sense of anger and emotional outrage and are now planning and implementing a strategy of removing all those who voted for this Bill out of Office in their individual States. There are those who say the anger will never last that long because people have short memories when it comes to politics. Well sometimes that is true but If we’re talking about genuine Righteous Anger, which I believe we are, were talking about something that won’t dissipate quickly. No, we’re not talking about political polls taking a nose dive or going through the roof in a relatively short period of time over average policy decisions. Righteous anger is something that resonates at the very core of a persons sense of self-esteem and translates into dedicated action with the noblest of intentions and supreme integrity, no matter what obstacles are thrown there way

When the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor with Brutal force on Dec 7, 1941, the United States responded with Brutal Force that left the Countries of the Axis Powers involved in a dustheap of ashes and death when the war finally came to an end in 1945. That was clearly a display of righteous anger unlike anything the world has ever seen before. It was a response that wasn’t motivated by hatred or racial terror the way one of the stars in the World War II miniseries, “the Pacific”, Tom Hanks, has been describing the conflict. No it was righteous anger and so is what we are seeing rise from the passage of the Health Care Bill that has been interpreted by the masses as a clear assault on people who love this country and fear for it's future in many ways. Can you compare this display of anger with that displayed in World War II by the allies. Of course not. But I really believe it is righteous anger, none-the-less, or darn close to it.

It, however is not being described that way by the Democrats in Congress or the national media which saw it as right-wing thugs and criminals spewing out hatred as congressmen entered the Capital to vote for this despicable bill. But this wasn’t hate being communicated from the emotional and patriotic crowd. It was a type of righteous anger being shown by average folks who love their country and feared what was happening to it, not militia-type hoodlums or organized left-wing protesters. If the sight of bull-horns makes you uneasy, so be it. How else are they going to communicate with a crowd of that size?

If you want to see examples of real scary hatred watch videos of the organized rock throwing and vandalizing crowds from the left that show up at government Summits and economic conferences wearing black hoods over their faces on a regular basis, or the anti war rallies of the 1960’s when buildings were bombed on college campuses, bank buildings, and government enclaves. I never saw a Tea party participant throw a pie in the face of a member of Congress the way a student did to Bill Gates or tried to do to Ann Coulter one time during a speaking engagement at Columbia University. Speaking of Ann, I never saw the kind of hatred exhibited at Tea party rallies the way it was demonstrated at Ann’s recent appearance on a Canadian college campus. I never heard a Tea party protester say they wanted to see a member of Congress die from Rectal Cancer the way Sean Penn said he wanted to see happen to Tea party participants in the most venomous and hate filled type of comment I can remember. I heard and read the same tone expressed in a comment about George W Bush which compared him to Hitler and encouraged his assassination. I also heard the same evil hostility expressed many times about people I consider great Americans like the late Rev Jerry Falwell, Ronald Reagan, Rush Limbaugh, Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin, Sean Hannity, Glen Beck, and many commentators at Fox News. That viscious hostility, however isn’t righteous anger it’s the same evil hatred from the depths of hell that have resulted in the deaths of millions in concentration, labor, and re-education camps down through history. It didn’t come from the heart as in the case of righteous anger it came from the minds of the Godless people who believe and practice Liberalism, Marxism, Socialism, Communism or any other far left ideology, that needs to deprive individuals of their God given right to freedom before they can gain control over them the way John Dingel explained health Care as always having been about controlling peoples lives.

Now we’re starting to see liberals and the mainstream media classify any criticism of Barrack Obama’s policies as hate speech and that to me is terrifying because these so called educated political operatives on the left posing as journalists are clueless when it comes to differentiating righteous and justified anger from plain old fashion, satanically inspired, evil hate. And that should give everybody who loves freedom cause for concern.

American Socialists Have No Where to Hide Anymore

Up until this weekend only those of us who follow politics closely knew today’s Democrat Party was not the party of Franklin Roosevelt and John F Kennedy as a new extreme radical left leadership had taken over and even Democrat members of the House were forced to acknowledge through their vote Sunday that their party had truly been high jacked by the Michael Moore and Sean Penn wing of the party. The head pounding tactics of President Obama and the House Leadership were evident for all to see Sunday. In fact I could almost hear the screams coming from backrooms and wondered who was about to get shot in the kneecaps.

It was also clear that for the first time many Democrats had no choice but to vote with members on the other side of the aisle in a remarkable show of genuine bipartisanship, due to the fact that 37% of the country disapproved of the legislation and wanted them to start over from scratch. But Barrack, Nancy, and Steny (the Three Stooges) would have none of it because Obama’s Presidency was at stake and after all that’s much more important than the Country, right?

When confronted with the socialist trends of his party, Al Sharpton openly admitted when being interviewed this weekend that people who voted Obama into office were indeed voting for socialism. At least Mr Sharpton was honest even if he is an idiot. Ted Kennedy was always honest about his big government intentions as well and Barney Frank never held back a thing when he said his plan was for the Government to be our Landlord.

Now every other Democrat who wants to remain a Democrat is being forced to defend Socialism by saying things like “socialism is a good thing” which by the way is the same thing as saying “freedom is a bad thing” and so are elections. One of the first things that happened in the Soviet Union, China, Cuba and yes even when the National Socialist Party ran Germany was a government take-over of health-care followed by the end of free elections. This time its going to be the dismantling of the greatest health care system ever know to man followed by “Amnesty for Illegal Immigrants” because the Democrats are going to need a new block of voters eager for entitlements quickly. And if that happens they won’t need to cancel elections at least not for a while

In the past it was always frustrating for conservatives to debate liberals because we knew they couldn’t be honest about who they really were and what they really believed and how much they disliked this country. Now we know the truth which means the 2010 Congressional elections promises to be a real Turkey Shoot as long as all freedom loving Americans take part in the hunt and bag these lying weasels while their in the open with the largest bullseyes imaginable on their backs. Traditional Democrats, like I used to be, have been forced into an impossible situation by their Marxist/Socialist/Man Child president and his supporters on the far left, and now they have no where to run.

Another One of those Infamy Days

I believe that Mar 21, 2010 will go down in history as another one of those “Infamy” days we’ll talk about forever and be as potent and as formidable in our minds as Pearl Harbor and 9/11. Both of these events were significant turning points in the life of the nation and the generations that witnessed and lived through them. Such will be the case I believe of the Signing into law of Socialized Medicine, an event which will forever be noted as the Day the Government assumed control of our bodies and every aspect of our lives through that new power point of control.

In the eleventh hour of the battle preceding the final vote it became apparent that it was nothing more than Democrats gathering around Obama to save his Presidency when most I’m sure were reluctant to approve the legislation that is destined to be the final spike in the Capitalistic engine that has created economic freedom and prosperity for so many down through the years. I do not included in that group of responsible but pressured legislators Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, or Harry Reid because those were the thugs holding the hammer over wavering heads and have been ever since they regained Control of Congress and brought about the financial meltdown that led to the recession and massive unemployment we are now experiencing. Hopefully Barney and friends will be replaced by their challengers like front runner Earl Sholley in the Massachusetts Fourth Congressional District who must be smelling blood in the water this morning. In fact the first thing I read on the “fateful morning after” was an article posted at Bloomberg.Com that says the US is at risk of losing its AAA Rating in the Bond Market and that. Moody’s investors Service is predicting the U.S. will spend more on debt service as a percentage of revenue this year than any other top-rated country except the U.K. Move over Venezuela and the rest of the Third World, here we come.

Some of my Democrat friends think that line of “Apocalyptic reasoning is nonsense, while I think it is nothing more than plain common sense. How could the President of the United States want to destroy the greatest Health Care System in the World by destroying the economic incentives that have resulted in people living longer and surviving ailments that were once insurmountable like Cancer, Small Pox, Malaria and a wide array of improvements in the management of Cardiovascular Disease?

My father is 95 years old and just returned home from surgery for a double hernia that relieved the intense discomfort he has been suffering with for some time. After weighing the risks with his doctors and family it was decided to go forward with the surgery even thought it was the fourth time he has gone under the knife in three years. Because of advances in medicine patients seem to be able to handle the anesthesia much better now than previously when elderly patients would be prone to take a beating mentally as well as physically from the anesthesia alone. I can’t help think that if this were to have happened a few years from now it’s quite possible that some faceless government bureaucrat would have stood in the way of such a procedure and my family’s happiness as well as his abilities to enjoy a few more years of zestful living. We will soon be losing our freedom to choose in one of the most important responsibilities or I should say areas of stewardship that we have and that is the care and management of our bodies. Isn’t that what the fight over Roe vs Wade was all about only the people that supported Roe are for the most part people who are now advocating this massive government takeover of the Greatest Health Care System in the World as well as our beloved bodies?

For the remainder of this year all members of Congress are going to be identified by whether they voted for or against the legislation. Although the anger out there is real its not being generated from drugged out radicals or committed leftists who have always hated this country and frequently resort to rock throwing and the use of molotoff coctails and vandalism at there demonstrations. Its evolving from average Moms and Dads, Veterans, and hard working folks who understand the greatness of America and its history and actually pick up there trash at rallies.

They don’t understand how Americans were willing to give up their freedom by voting for Obama’s agenda of change as he promised and has never wavered from. Yes…the man raised by Communists and extreme America hating radicals has never wavered from his plan to redistribute and destroy individual wealth. In fact after putting control of one sixth of the Economy under control of the US Government he is well on his way to achieving that end. But now he needs a new block of voters quickly since he just alienated so many which is why the next special on his Socialist Agenda Platter will surely be “Amnesty for Illegal Immigrants” served with plenty of pork and sweetheart deals for wavering members of his own party along with a side dish of head pounding similar to what occurred preceding the Health Care Vote

But fear not folks, the sleeping giant is fully awake now i.e. freedom loving Americans with traditional values and they are really angry now as we will see during the months leading up to the Congressional elections in November. In fact even my own representative in the Fourth Congressional District Barney Frank is less of a sure thing today than he was yesterday for continuing his thirty year reign of terror on Americans even if he does have the support of self-interested local fishermen. Yesterday the world changed whether you realize it or not, but even supporters o f Barney Frank are not going to enjoy being treated like my father’s World War II friend in England who was on the waiting list for routine surgery for over a year before they got to him. “You can always go to Costa Rica like Rush Limbaugh said he would if you want better treatment and better attention, as long as you have the money of course. If not pick a number and stand in line folks not to see your doctor , of course, but that pointy headed bureaucrat over their wearing nose glasses who will remind you how you feel when you go to the Post Office, the Registry of Motor Vehicle, or any other government agency and that is simply a crying shame and a great American tragedy.

Earl Sholley Continues to Impress

As the race to replace Barney Frank begins to take shape, the only candidate that has impressed me so far is Earl Sholley from Norfolk, MA. Unlike many voters in the country, when I evaluate a candidate I start with his ideology and Earl is a rock solid conservative who looks at the world the way a traditional conservative is suppose to. He doesn’t put together a set of core beliefs and principles and then eliminate the ones that he thinks will hurt him in the eyes of those who have been influenced by a very liberal NorthEast culture the way Republican Sean Bielat of Brookline has. In regards to Right to Life issues and the traditional family values, Mr Bielat has decided he’ll say the things that he thinks will work in the People’s Republic of Massachusetts, completely missing the biggest lesson of Scott Browns unprecedented election victory which was “times they are a changing” as the famous 1960’s song signified.

The voters in Massachusetts are no different than the voters in Virginia, and New Jersey, or States where long time Professional Democrat politicians have thrown in the towel like Chris Dodd of Connecticutt and Evan Bayh of Indiana. The writing is on the wall and they see it. The people have had enough. They’re no longer going to vote for a professional politician who is more interested in attaining power than representing the interests of their constituents.

Unlike his opponents, Earl is only planning on running for two terms and hopes to persuade the Congress to begin working on legislation that advocates term limits, so we no longer have to deal with candidates who are more interested in implementing a radical national agenda that the people clearly do not want like national health care, rather than establishing the conditions that will lend themselves towards the creation of jobs in the private sector that can actually improve the economy within the 4th District.

For years we have had some of the most powerful people in Washington supposedly representing our needs yet what do we have to show for it, besides a little pork thrown our way just before Election Day in a manner that does nothing to stimulate the economy of the region. With that kind of influence you would think that the South Coast of Massachusetts would be one of the most economically thriving areas of the country, the way it once was during the period in history when the area was the Whaling Capital of the World and the Textile Center of the Universe. You can still drive through selected neighborhoods and see old homes where the areas most prosperous participants lived during these earlier periods of prosperity. I remember watching the HBO series on “John Adams” one time and listening to the character who played Thomas Jefferson talk about negotiating with European countries on issues that related to Whaling and commerce matters from this part of the State.

If only the District had that kind of representation during the thirty years of Barney’s reign. If we did you wouldn’t feel like you were driving through a Third World Country every time you go through many other sections of New Bedford and Fall River, the 4th District’s largest cities. And when has the District's representative done anything that might allow people to keep more of their own money or to provide incentives for businesses to create jobs and hire more employees from the area. All he has done is to continuously seek ways to enslave people to an entitlement style of government which is destined to deprive people of the economic opportunities previous generations have had in America.

But maybe we shouldn’t be too hard on Barney Frank who has become one of the most powerful members of the House during his thirty years in Washington. I mean, considering all the extra responsibilities he has, when has the leader of the House Banking Committee had time to improve the economy in his own District when he has been so busy destroying the economy of the nation as a whole by encouraging the government to give out loans to people who had no possible way of ever paying them back which by the way is what created the economic mess were in at the moment.

Earl Sholley doesn’t want 15 terms to become the Chairman of a Powerful House Committee. He wants two terms and no more than two terms to represents the 4th District properly by coming up with simple common sense solutions to problems without abandoning his rock sold conservative principles the way all his opponents apparently are ready to do. He’s been getting familiar with the needs of the 4th District for some time now and not just within the cozy confines of Brookline and Newton where Sean Bielat and Barney Frank live. And he doesn’t need to pull out a map to see how to get to New Bedford or Fall River. And he doesn’t want to embarrass the people he represents by making a laughing stock of this District on Cable TV and talk radio every day. Nor does he want the people of the 4th Congressional District to be accused by respected national talk radio hosts like Rush Limbaugh of holding the entire country hostage and on its’ knees because of the raving lunatic who wants to put government in charge of every aspect of our lives that they keep re-electing over and over again. Enough is enough. It’s time for Barney to go and someone with common sense to take over. Wouldn't that be a nice change of pace?

Who has the last laugh now?

After Patrick Kennedy’s childish comment that Scott Browns improbable victory in Massachusetts was a joke, we learned this week that the Democrat congressman from Rhode Island will not be running for a new term. It seems that rather than risking an embarrassing defeat, Kennedy apparently decided to throw the towel in, much the same way that Senators Chris Dodd and North Dakota Senator Byron Dorgan have already done. After all if the Senate seat that belonged to the venerable “Lion of the Senate”could go down the tubes in Massachusetts, courtesy of an electorate fed up with Obama’s relentless quest to implement a socialist agenda, what pray tell was in the cards or should I say the “tea leaves” for “Patches” whose disapproval ratings are now at 62%?

I wonder if Patrick also considers it a joke that for the first time in over 60 years not a single member of his infamous family will be holding political office in Washington.

And when did he start lauging? Was it when citizens started rising up against the administration’s efforts to destroy the greatest health care system in the world during town hall meetings last summer, or was it at Tea Party rallies attended by the same type of average everyday folks and veterans sincerely interested in saving this country from spending itself into bankruptcy and Third World Nationhood. The signs of discontent and genuine anger have been out their for a long time for anyone who was paying attention, and Kennedy has the unmitigated gall to refer to the stunning upset in Massachusetts as a joke which apparently took him completely by surprise. He had no idea voters were that upset? Well, it looks like he’s beginning to get the picture.

He must have been “Rolling on the Floor Laughing Out Loud” known as ROTFLOL in Text messaging shorthand when both Virginia and New Jersey elected Republican governors last November. Most democrats found that hysterical and not to be taken seriously, I’m sure. But we’ll see if they’re still laughing in November when the polls close and the careers of many professional politicians close as well.

And who is the next candidate to come from nowhere and win a decisive victory against all odds only to be referred to as a joke by Patrick Kennedy or some other sulking, spoiled rotten to the corps, liberal insider? Will it be Conservative Republican Earl Sholley who is presently launching a motivated and highly focused campaign against someone who not only should not be representing the Massachusetts Fourth Congressional District in Congress, but should be sitting in a jail cell for his roll in the sub prime mortgage crisis that brought our economy to a hault.
